  I already posted a review, but I have to add to it. Above all the other problems, I had my transmission replaced 1 1/2 weeks ago. I had to take it in a second time, and now it has to go in a third time, becuase, VWs suck and their service department doesnt know what they are doing...

  Love it! What else is there to say? The 1.8 liter gets the gas milage I like, but the turbo makes sure that Im not the slowest thing on the road. Handles the road just like my Porsche 944. The parts arent cheap, but you dont have to buy them often. Watch the oil changes. Dirty oil clogs the turbo.

  I own a New Jetta GLS, I drive a lot of miles per month and the car hasnt given me any troubles at all.I love my Jetta and I plan to keep until it doesnt want to run any more...(years and years from now) Fuel economy is excellent I drive from Orlando to Miami with a lot less than a tank of fuel. Styling is just pure European perfection..Europeans definatelly know how to design cars. I just love my car, it is one really good decision that I made. Volkswagen and all European cars are # 1.

  Ive read some of the reviews here, so I have chosen to write something positive. Dealerships are Robbing you! The Idea of these Tdis Is to maintain them properly. And knowledge is your best friend. My Tdi is amazing.. Excellent power and fun to drive. Yes there are electrical issues, but that is a far shot from getting 400 to 500 thousand miles out of your engine life. Get a mechanic that is competent and KNOWS the tdi and you are set.. I do ALL of my maintenance myself, How? Research. And these cars are easy to work on. Dont let the vw dealerships take you hard earned money.

  My first new car.I drove a 74 Beetle for 15 years and wanted another VW.I had the car 6 weeks when the on board computer went Dealer fixed for free after 2 visits. The rear breaks had to be replaced after 35,000 miles(I paid for that).There have been 3 recalls and last week the passenger window failed to go down or up .It also goes through 1/2 quart of oil a week.The dash lights for the A/C have gone out, the trunk will not open using the drivers console in the door, the drivers door will not always unlock with the key or clicker.many problems for a new car.

  Ive had quite a few minor issues which meant numerous trips to the dealer, but they were very nice and especially accomodating (they would arrange a VW for me to drive, etc) I love my jetta

  Bought a used 2000 VW Jetta as my daughters first car...reliable, sporty, and still holds up in appearance and style with todays latest new car models. Very reliable and runs strong despite the 156Kmiles!! This car is built very well, all windows, sunroof, cup holders, visor clips, and other interior and exterior features still work and are made of high quality materials....

  great to drive..disaster to own after warranty. (5th VW) 4 times for clutch/ sulpher smell/$600 starter at 25K Miles/ cheap plastic inside/out: front bumper pulled off TWICE/ O2 sensor (3 times)/ The best part is every time I bring it in for another ELECTRICAL repair, the dealer breaks someting else I have to fight about because they deny that anything is related to anything. I GIVE UP!!!!! Going for a volvo now.

  It is my first car so my dad wanted to get me a used one. I was stupid to start with a volkswagon. I wanted a cute car so did not even think about reliability. The bumpers are cheaper than something at the 99 cent store. The plastic underlining catches on to anything and everything. I have had to replace the bumper once and recently cracked it again. But because I am getting a new car in a couple month, I just taped it. The brake makes a terrible sound every time I take my foot off the pedal. Fun ride but not worth it with the cheap build.

  Just traded in my VW Jetta GLX VR-6 with 254,000 miles on it. I hated to get rid of it but I was getting bored with it. You ask why? Well for one, I was the original owner. With all those mile it kept its good looks, Leather seat were still beautiful, and engine still ran like new. I always hated one thing about the car and it was the 91 octane. Let me tell you this was the best VW I ever owned, but I had to stay on top of the maintenance! I miss here already!
