  • Crv better than Jeep - 2017 Honda CR-V

Wife has driven a Jeep Grand Cherokee for the past 20 years. I asked her to drive the CRV. She did and she loved it. We bought two!

  • CRV is a great car overall - 2017 Honda CR-V

This car offers nearly everything that we were looking for. The only thing that it lacks is height adjustable passenger seat. None of Hondas vehicles offer this feature at any level. Competitors (although not all) do offer this as standard equipment. I think that the car is great otherwise.

We own the touring with power pass front seat. Seat does not go up and down and sits too low and is very hard not like the drivers 6 way power seat. Also hard to get in and out of the pass seat. We would not have purchased this vehicle if we had known that the pass seat was not like the drivers seat. We had a 2013 Chevy Equinox with both power front seats and they were great but no pickup in that model. The new ones have a 1.5 liter. turbo engine. We are thinking of trading this in for the Chevy Equinox and the CR-V has only 2600 miles on it.

  • Extremely Uncomfortable - 2017 Honda CR-V

I loved everything about this car during the test drive. The interior and exterior are amazing. The tech is the best in class and it seemed overall great. Then I took it home and my opinion changed. I tried every seating position and even used cushions, but could not get comfortable. Even worse than that, after 15 minutes in the car my entire foot and leg started to go numb. I made myself take it for a long drive and by the time I got to my destination my entire foot and leg ere completely numb. It took a while to get the feeling completely back and then the pain took over. I was limping the entire next day. So on the way back I tried cushions and other positions and nothing changed. The seats press on my static nerve and cause all of this to happen. I recommend this car for all of its features, but do not recommend it for comfort. If comfort is important to you look at different cars like the Subaru Forester or Mazda CX-5. I will be selling this back to the dealer for a big loss because I refuse to keep a car that will hurt me. Just beware before buying.

  • The CR-V is good, but not great. - 2017 Honda CR-V

The level of quality in this new Honda is not as high as I would have expected. Ive been to the dealer three times with one repair taking 7 hours and the other vibration issue in the front end extending to the steering wheel unresolved. Tires were re-balanced to no avail. Ultimately, the dealer said I should think of getting rid of the vehicle before the warranty ends. Thats a stellar vote of confidence in the products they sell. The interior is nice and the seats are mostly comfortable, though not for all. The infotainment system has been working well and is easy to navigate. The paint is very soft and chips very easily. So easily that touch-up paint should be included with your purchase. Gas mileage is great, but acceleration is weak with the 1.5 T. Overall, the vehicle is okay, but I would not purchase again. This is one of those one and done situations. I wish good luck to all who purchase...

  • Buyer beware - 2017 Honda CR-V

I like everything about the car except that at freeway speeds there is a lot of wind noise. So much that you need to turn up the radio and speak louder. We only have 4000 miles on our car and have contacted Honda several times. Finally, they that that was just the way the car was made. Before you pay $35 thousand dollars for one of these 2017 models make sure you drive it at freeway speeds and can tolerate the noise.

  • After Trying - 2017 Honda CR-V

After trying all the other SUVs, I decided to wait a few months until the new CRV came out. I dont regret it! Its as perfect as a car could get. The gas is not what they say its supposed to be, but I didnt expect that not to happen anyway. I love it!

  • No buyers remorse - 2017 Honda CR-V

Ive held off on buying a car most of my adult life, for a variety of reasons, most recently because it has been near impossible to find a vehicle that ticks off all the boxes, but also because auto technology is changing so rapidly now. But living in New England and tired of driving of failing to get hybrid Camrys and Prius Cs through the snow and ice so I can get to my clients, I realized that I couldnt let perfect be the enemy of the good, so I made a list, I checked it twice, and the CR-V came through on everything but the mileage. And, even then, it has no peers in its class. Even the RAV4 Hybrid gets a mere 10% bump, and for that you pay a premium on a base model without all the great features included in a CR-V EX. Having owned the vehicle for a month now, I dont see how I could have done better. Sure, the entertainment and settings interface is terrible, but at least it is CarPlay compatible, so I am using that most of the time, and really looking forward to seeing if that sticks around and how it develops. I like the ride height and feel of the road. The steering is solid and the wheel feels good. The adaptive cruise control is a feature Ive come to really like, as well as lane departure and collision warning, none of which were available on the RAV4 hybrid. Loving having a sun roof now, too. Cargo could be a little more convenient, despite its volume. Theres a ledge keeping me from laying a folded 6 table totally flat in back, even with the seats down, which is annoying. Even the hybrid Camry allowed me to lay the table flat, with room to spare on every side. But I do like the vertical height. Took advantage of it to go car camping. Because of that height, we were able to load up the back without putting down the seats. Everyone remarks at the design and the Obsidian Blue color. People cant believe its a Honda. Neither can I. I should have seen it coming with the new HR-V style that got my attention (not a great car, but a nice design for a small SUV type vehicle), but I thought that was a one-off. Not so. I even like these wheels better than any previous CR-V model. This car went from boring and not on my list to the top of my list when it first came out, and I am not disappointed. Again, Id love to have this exact car with better acceleration and fuel economy (mid-30s seems reachable), but until that perfect car exists, this one will definitely do, and I have no remorse about buying it with the intent to keep for a long, long time.

Incredible car its technology and handling I love you Honda.

  • Rain Drops - 2017 Honda CR-V
    By -

Has anyone experienced when it rains that you your inside driver door where the rubber drains that rain stands in the car and when you open the door rain drips (if too close) on my shoes. Plus the frame beneath my seat retain water and if Im getting in the door my dress/skirt or pants gets wet getting and/or of the vehicle. In the addition, the drivers rear passenger side does the same. Also, where the tail gate frame closes that somehow when I lift the gate it is wet. Im not happy about this since I bought my car a month ago. I took it back to the dealership and they said "oh! thats just the way they made the vehicle". I didnt agree and was told they would check with the engineers and get back in a couple of days - nope! NO WORD SINCE THEN. If I could turn the car back in I would in a heart beat because of this problem. Who wants to carry a paper towel in hand when it rains.
