  • The best CR-V yet! - 2017 Honda CR-V
    By -

I have owned four Honda CR-Vs before this one. The all performed admirably. This one, however, outperforms the others by a wide margin. The new safety features are outstanding. There is collision avoidance, lane departure warning, and logical cruise control to name a few. I am completely satisfied with this automobile.

  • Navigation is worthless - 2017 Honda CR-V

Dont pay for navigation. Just use your phone. The system takes you the worst routes and longest routes and does not recognize any county back roads. we paid alot for navigation and cannot trust it.

  • Bought It and Love It - 2017 Honda CR-V

I was driving a 98 Honda civic HX around town and a 2002 Acura MDX for the interstate. It was time to consider just one car that would satisfy the features of my old cars. I usually buy used but decided to look at the 2017 Honda CRV. I briefly considered the RAV4 but vetoed that. The reviews of the CRV impressed me enough that I bought it sight unseen and no test drive (who does that!). I got the color and model I wanted. I now have a little over 2000 miles on it and have been very satisfied. Pros: not cramped. I was afraid that coming from the MDX the CRV would feel cramped but it isnt bad at all. The trunk area handles my large dog easily. Really like the ease of dropping the rear seats forward. Like the ease of console and touch screen. Everything is within reach and intuitive. There is enough power to pass on the interstate. Was pleasantly surprised at the quietness of the ride and ease of steering. I live in rural southwest so keeping a car clean is a challenge. The desert sand color doesnt show the dirt like some other colors would. Overall it is big enough for the interstate but small enough to drive around town. The capless gas tank was a welcome surprise. With all the technology and ease of pushing buttons I laughed out load when I found the manual lever to open the gas door. Over all the safety features are awesome. Cons: I had real wood in my Acura so could have done without the plastic wood. Just doesnt work for me. The cruise control doesnt hold well on the downhill. It creeps up to 5 miles over the set speed. There is an uneven surface on the back seats when they are let down. I lower them for my dog and the fabric stretched out of shape when she stood on the seats. I am not too crazy about the leather covered steering wheel. The stitching is bothersome.

  • Good for 8 hours or 50 miles whichever comes first - 2017 Honda CR-V

Had the car for 8 hours and it died. The car went crazy and all the lights started flashing on and off (interior, dashboard and exterior). Car would not start. Ultimately had the car towed back to the dealer on a flatbed.

  • Love it! - 2017 Honda CR-V

Purchased a 2017 CR-V EX-L AWD. My previous car was a 2008 same model. While I loved the 2008, no mechanical problems at all, this 2017 is amazing. The noise level is gone, seats are super comfortable and the safety features are incredible. I do miss my hard shelf in the trunk area and the floor space between the front seats. The only fault on the car is the info screen. Its clunky and takes several steps to get to the right screen. Dear HONDA, GOOGLE maps would make this car perfect! In the meantime, I have to use my phone for the best navigation. The Honda and apple maps do not compare to google maps!

  • Im on my third one - 2017 Honda CR-V
    By -

Whether youre coming off of another compact SUV or, like me youre on your third Honda CRV theres nothing bad to say. My first CRV was the second model year that they produced, and I got 230,000 miles on it. My second CRV was a 2002 and I got 240,000 miles on it. I just bought a new 2017, end it feels almost magical. The great thing for most CRV owners is that it mostly stays the same and yet they keep making it better! I think this is the only car Id ever buy.

  • Honda does it again! - 2017 Honda CR-V

This is my first Honda and also first mid-size SUV. My family has been buying Honda for over 20 years now (2 Pilots, 1 Oddessy, 1 Civic, 1 Accord) and have had 0 issues with any of their cars during this time. In fact, my dads Accord was purchased back in the 80s and he put nearly 300,000 miles on it and never had a single problem. So reliability is never an issue with Honda. I LOVE this this new CRV. I never liked the looks of the older ones and wasnt even going to look at the CRV until they redid the car, which I really like. It looks much more sporty for a family-oriented vehicle. The ride is smooth, the turbo engine is peppy for its size, and the fuel economy is great. In the 2 weeks I have had the car I have put more 400 miles on the car and I am getting 29.5 MPG, which is great compared to my old car (Hyundai Tiburon GT). I have one two minor gripes. One, the engine can be a bit noisy when sitting still, either parked or when I come to a stop. I have never had a turbo engine before, so this might be normal. It isnt super loud or anything, it just creates a small clicking sound that once I hear I cant stop focusing on. But once I drive it stops, and with ANY music playing you cant hear it. I googled this and it seems to be normal for this new 1.5L turbo engine. My second complaint is that the safety features do not let you sync any phones while driving. While this is great in preventing a driver from syncing a phone via Bluetooth or one of the apps, it also prevents any passengers from doing so as well. Not a big deal, just a bit weird this cant be changed via settings. Overall I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and love my car. I highly recommend it!

  • Met My High Expectations - 2017 Honda CR-V
    By -

I had a long checklist of criteria and this hit the mark. I am still discovering things that this does! For example, I did not realize that the highbeams came on automatically and then reset when necessary. What a great feature! I needed something with power and good gas mileage and this definitely fits that bill.

  • Big time bang for the buck - 2017 Honda CR-V
    By -

This is my first non-luxury car in over 25 years and the gap has diminished somewhat. Owned Saab, Lexus and Acura, all of which were great cars, particularly the Lexus. For just over $32k for a loaded AWD Touring Ive gotten a very well-balanced car that is surprisingly refined and peppy. Do wish it had more ponies under the hood, but thats kind of what you get in this class. Fairly quiet and smooth, especially for a crossover. Mileage is below listed as many posters have noted, but still pretty good. Safety features on par with the NX and RDX I looked long and hard at for $10k more. Infotainment system is not class-leading but certainly way better than some of the dour reviews its received. All in all, Honda needed to hit a home run with the new CR-V and having looked in depth at all of the competitors in this class, I think theyve nailed it. A really well-rounded car that now looks and feels much more premium than the CR-Vs of old and can legitimately be considered a mid-size option.
