We own the touring with power pass front seat. Seat does not go up and down and sits too low and is very hard not like the drivers 6 way power seat. Also hard to get in and out of the pass seat. We would not have purchased this vehicle if we had known that the pass seat was not like the drivers seat. We had a 2013 Chevy Equinox with both power front seats and they were great but no pickup in that model. The new ones have a 1.5 liter. turbo engine. We are thinking of trading this in for the Chevy Equinox and the CR-V has only 2600 miles on it.

  • The CR-V is good, but not great. - 2017 Honda CR-V

The level of quality in this new Honda is not as high as I would have expected. Ive been to the dealer three times with one repair taking 7 hours and the other vibration issue in the front end extending to the steering wheel unresolved. Tires were re-balanced to no avail. Ultimately, the dealer said I should think of getting rid of the vehicle before the warranty ends. Thats a stellar vote of confidence in the products they sell. The interior is nice and the seats are mostly comfortable, though not for all. The infotainment system has been working well and is easy to navigate. The paint is very soft and chips very easily. So easily that touch-up paint should be included with your purchase. Gas mileage is great, but acceleration is weak with the 1.5 T. Overall, the vehicle is okay, but I would not purchase again. This is one of those one and done situations. I wish good luck to all who purchase...

I like everything about the car except that at freeway speeds there is a lot of wind noise. So much that you need to turn up the radio and speak louder. We only have 4000 miles on our car and have contacted Honda several times. Finally, they that that was just the way the car was made. Before you pay $35 thousand dollars for one of these 2017 models make sure you drive it at freeway speeds and can tolerate the noise.

  • Rain Drops - 2017 Honda CR-V

Has anyone experienced when it rains that you your inside driver door where the rubber drains that rain stands in the car and when you open the door rain drips (if too close) on my shoes. Plus the frame beneath my seat retain water and if Im getting in the door my dress/skirt or pants gets wet getting and/or of the vehicle. In the addition, the drivers rear passenger side does the same. Also, where the tail gate frame closes that somehow when I lift the gate it is wet. Im not happy about this since I bought my car a month ago. I took it back to the dealership and they said "oh! thats just the way they made the vehicle". I didnt agree and was told they would check with the engineers and get back in a couple of days - nope! NO WORD SINCE THEN. If I could turn the car back in I would in a heart beat because of this problem. Who wants to carry a paper towel in hand when it rains.

  • Disappointed in safety features. - 2017 Honda CR-V

This is our third CR-V in a row. Traded in our 2015 model on a 2017 CR-V Touring with every option on it. The 2015 had only 25,00 miles but I wanted the new safety features since my wife drives it withe the grandkids frequently in it. We have driven it 4,000 mile including one vacation trip which I drove. Despite the new turbo powered engine, it still feels underpowered to me, like our 2015 model did. It seems like you have to push too hard to make it get up and go, but admittedly I have been spoiled by my Toyota Tundra with a big V-8. The safety features are a big disappointment, since I bought this just for them. The front brake assist only works if the cruise control is on. If it is not on, you get only a big orange warning light on the dashboard that you are too close to the car in front of you. The Stay in You Own Lane assist, as I call it, will fight you if you use it (you can turn it off). It actually steers the car for you which is very annoying since you will be holding the wheel doing your own steering while the car wants to steel slightly differently. Lord help you if you want to change lanes without signalling. Then the wheel will vibrate to let you know what a law-breaker you are. My last complaint is the memory seat. If I run around doing errands, the seat memory button has to be pushed every time I get into the car, even if I was the last one to drive it. Most memory seats I know stay set until changed by another driver. Summary, we really like our CR-V, the cargo space, the reliability but hate the safety features. We should have kept our 2015 model and saved money.

  • Drove nicely but had to climb up to get in and out - 2017 Honda CR-V

    Was noisy on highway

  • Very Noisy Car - 2017 Honda CR-V

Something almost none of the car reviewers out there will tell you is how loud this car is on the highway. The sound dampening material on this car is very poor making for a very loud cabin at highway speeds. The rest of the car is pretty good its comfortable to drive for long trips (except for the noise), the power is good, cargo capacity is good and it looks pretty good except Honda continues to out do itself with ugly wheels. The engine is okay, it is very fuel efficient averaging roughly 32 mpg @ 76 mph on road trips fully loaded with 4 passengers. The turbo lag takes some getting used to and eco mode makes it almost undrivable in a city setting but shifting to sport mode keeps the motor in the powerband and it is a fun car to drive. The infotainment center leaves a lot to be desired while it does a good job if you mostly just leave it in one mode switching between connected device and a conventional radio/satellite radio source takes a lot of button pushes and is very distracting. Apple CarPlay is great but again switching to another source should be a easier. Also a play/pause button on the steering wheel would be nice. Overall it is a pretty good car except for the road noise. It is the first thing new passengers comment on when the go for a ride and it has me contemplating trading it in for a different car.

  • A lot of money...not sure its worth it - 2017 Honda CR-V

This is not my favorite vehicle I have owned, but it will do. When you buy it be prepared for the hard sell of all the "extras" that you dont need. That alone has soured me on the car. Its comfortable and relatively quiet. Am still waiting on the title- previous new cars I have purchased I received the title right away and was able to get plates, now I will either have to waste part of a vacation day or take up part of my Saturday standing in line at the BMV. Need to have the car a little longer to determine reliability, ease in handling during inclement weather, etc. Truth be told, wish I bought a Suburu.

  • A big disappointment - 2017 Honda CR-V

Overall this car was a disappointment. I bought it mainly for the gas mileage. Honda claims it gives 28-32 mpg. I drive conservatively and I am lucky to get 22 mpg. I was expecting it to be a couple of miles under claimed values but not 10 miles. As far as I am concerned, Honda is false advertising.... Performance and material quality is not much better either.

  • Coldest car I have ever owned - 2017 Honda CR-V
    By -

I live in Chicago, IL. We just started experiencing cold weather. I leave the car parked in my garage overnight, every morning I remote start it and then remote start it again 10 min later. I get in the car, the temperature gauge shows that the engine didnt heat up at all, not even 1 bar after approximately 15 min of running. The problem with this is that the car also doesnt blow hot air until the engine is heated up. I literally drove the car for 10 miles when the outside temperature was -2 F and it still didnt heat up the vehicle. I have heated seats and they do help but not enough, I hate the fact that I bought a AWD car for the winter and my main problems with it are happening during the winter. Absolutely the slowest heating car I have ever owned and if I had known that I would have never bought it. Other problems that I have experienced are with the cars entertainment system, it needs a software update. Very slow and laggy. fuel consumption is bad for me, I only get 23.2 mpg. I wish I could return the car now and get something else. Unfortunately I will be stuck with it for at least another 2.5 years until my lease is up.
