  • Unacceptable - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I was so excited to buy this beautiful car. Great features and nice look. However, the cars defining characteristic is its potentially life-threatening steering problem. The car feels like its in a high wind at 60 mph, and driving at 75 mph is downright harrowing. Repeatedly veered near other high-speed traffic on I5. At one point I found myself about 3 feet into the HOV lane before I could correct it. Requires constant vigilance to stay in my own lane, and after 160 miles my hands and arms ached. Very, very scary. Visibility for reversing and checking driver-side traffic is bad. The most important thing I can say here is test drive this car on the highway at 70 mph or dont buy it at all.

I just purchased this car from dealer in GA for $16,300 included tax/dealer fee. Great car, very reliable just have 100 miles on it.

  • GOOD Car - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I purchased the Corolla S. This is a real good car. it has a good fuel consumption rate if you drive moderately. i put ten dollars in and it will last me for three days. like any other car, if you floor it, it will go. if you put premium gas in it, it REALLY takes off. This car is a cruise type of car. Driving at 60- 80 burns the gas good. The ABS is REALLY annoying. Every bump you brake on, the thing just keeps on coming on. have no control on it. Steering system is good. the sound system could be more louder. the interior is ok but it can be better. Suspension is real good too. you really dont feel any bumps on the road, even when driving fast.

  • Great compact car for the money - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Just got this vehicle for my wife and she just LOVES it. I own 2 other Toyotas and it is just as dependable as my 4 runner and tacoma. Excellent gas mileage and for a small car very comfortable. Traded in a Lincoln Towncar so I wasnt sure what to expect as far as ride quality but was very surprised that it was quite comfortable.

  • 10000 miles - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Gas mileage, low 27 high 39, average local driving 30/31, interstate 32. Front seats are good, trunk space good for small car, small opening. Drives good but steering is numb. Horn sounds like it belongs on a childs toy. Low beams are poor, they light the road surface but very little else. Very sensitive to wind. Transmission shifts good during local easy driving. After downing shifting on hilly interstates the shift from 3 to 4 is hard. Transmission slow to down shift when driving back roads. Very hard to see out the back when parking. Engine sounds like a putt putt car. Radio sound is ok, changing cds is different than most. Car is rough when crossing joints in the road

  • Really well designed car, efficient. - 2010 Toyota Corolla

My Dad still drives his 94 Camry. So when I wanted a reliable car, I went with Toyota. The 2010 Corolla LE is fantastic. Very aesthetically pleasing design, comfortable seats with height adjustment. TONS of standard safety features (A big selling point), good enough engine with unbelievable fuel efficiency. A great AM/FM/CD/Aux sound system comes standard, as well. I did not encounter a very touchy steering wheel at all. It controls very well. The brakes are responsive and stopped me quickly in wet conditions without a skid. The abundance of standard airbags and ABS makes me more comfortable to transport friends or family.

  • Bad design on wipers - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I have an 07 Tundra , and an 06 corolla, and just purchased the 10 corolla. I have 500km and I cannot drive it in the rain. The wiper design stinks. The little wiper blade puts the rain water back in front of your face on the driver side. You lose vision in the rain and the snow.

  • Good car for what I paid - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Car is solid, nice new feel even though I bought it when it was 5 years old. My daily driver is a 2001 corolla. The worst part about this one is the blind spots. Ride is smooth and its reliable. Gets me where I need to go (mostly longer trips). A couple of fuses randomly pooped out, cig lighter and radio wouldnt work. The provided manual showed me which fuses to replace and its back up and running. The engine feels solid and smooth. Transmission shifts properly. I like that the car tells you the outside temp and gas mileage, etc. It has wonderful storage capabilities, little pockets here and there, a huge upgrade from my 01 corolla. Overall a good car if you get it for the right price, great on gas mileage. AC blows icy cold and heat works great as well. Bought it at 109000, now at about 118000.

  • OK car.. - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Ive had my 2010 Corolla S for a while now. Im happy that its getting around 30.5mpg in the city driving, I don’t drive much on the highway. The wind noise is pretty quiet.. Things I dont like: It has a 4 speed automatic transmission, why isnt this a 5 speed or 6 speed? Come on Toyota... Loud road noise on concrete highways. Very loud. Unbelievably loud. My friends 2010 Elantra is silent compared to this car.. I hear creaking coming from the drivers side front pillar and back pillar on passengers side. I also hear a weird rattle underneath the dash that sounds like a tan can. Who knows? Ive never had a new car with rattles and squeaks...??

  • Unpredictable Handling - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

The handling of this thing is worst of the 6 FWD vehicles Ive owned--makes driving work instead of pleasure. Like riding a half-broke horse, you dont know which way its going and when! I doubt its due to weight--other small cars dont have the problem. Otherwise, price, pep, gas mileage, visibility, noise levels are good for this level of vehicle. Poor center armrest for driver. After I bought it, dealership informed me it needs undercoating from them or Ziebart because its not done at factory! The vehicle would be a keeper if the steering mechanism was reliable and it tracked well. Best thing about car is its a Toyota and I should be able to unload it easily for a decent price.
