  • Do not buy - 2010 Toyota Corolla

This car handles terribly. The steering of the vehicle is like you are always driving on ice. Constant drifting and difficult to control even with a slight wind. Trucks nearly blow you right off the road. The engine is way under power for the car. Needs about 50 more ponies under the hood to made it a decent drive. The comfort is terrible too. I am 5 10" and am uncomfortable after driving 50 miles. And NO I do not work for another car company, just telling you like it is. You want a nice compact car? Do not buy a Corolla.

  • Stay away! - 2010 Toyota Corolla

If you hit 60 mph, you feel yourself close to God because you might die anytime. The car loses all its balance, steering/handling is out of control, as if there is a strong wind hitting you sideways. I called toyota, they said they are aware of the issue, but no recall yet. If several people dies, I guess then they will start dealing with the problem.

  • Dont Waste Your Time or Money! - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I have a 2010 Corolla LE. The entire dash, the doors and the back rattle BADLY. If I go over a bump in the road, it sounds like the car is literally going to fall apart. We have had to have the rotors replaced or turned about six times now. This car barely has 60k miles on it! I have a 2001 Ford (with 160k miles) and I have replaced the rotors ONCE. We are also about to put on the third set of tires. Each time I go to the dealership, there is yet another recall. The interior design on this car is horrible, and dont even get me started on the seat fabric! There is four year old lint on my seats that I have given up on. Save yourself the hassle, and dont buy this piece of junk!

  • Corolla S- A giant leap backward - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Very disappointed. I replaced my 16 year old Honda Civic with a new Corolla S. The Corolla has developed atrocious steering, handling, and braking issues after 3000 miles. This was not evident during test drives. The fuel economy is not that all impressive at around 28 mpg. The dealer has tried to help but these issues are related to the vehicles design cannot be corrected. Amazing, using advanced technologies and materials- Toyota has managed to replicate the driving feel of my dads 53 Chevy which had worn ball joints and air in the brake lines.

  • Disappointed - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I bought a 2010 Corolla with 9500 miles on it for $15k last summer. Its been a horrible experience. On the drive home a rattle appeared above the drivers side window. I had to take the car down to the dealership once every week regarding the rattle, and they alternated between "Its fixed" to "We cant hear anything." Finally after 2 months they finally found the side air bag was messed up. I have numerous rattles in the headliner, still. The car is eating up tires, as well. Might be suspension issues, but Im sick of dealing with the dealership. Hoping to trade it in for a new Civic, soon. Will never buy Toyota again. And on top of all of this, the interior materials are horrible!

  • Engine Malfunction (Internal malfunction in the throttle body assembly) - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I had really bad experience with Toyota Corolla 2010. When I was driving, all of a sudden I felt that my steering wheel was tightened up and very hard to turn. Lights on my dashboard (ABS, ENGINE MALFUNCTION/CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR, BREAK, VSC OFF) were lightened up and my car came to a total stop after about 3 minutes. I was very scared as I had my baby and family in the car when this happened. I tried starting my car several times but it failed to respond. I towed the car to the local dealer. The dealership people got back to me saying there was an internal malfunction in the throttle body assembly. They fixed and I took back the car and I put another 100 miles and again the same incident ha

  • Good Mileage - not much else unfortunately - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Had this as a rental for 2 weeks - looked like [violative content deleted] outside (scratched, chipped and dented all around) and inside (seat fabric worn, plastic color rubbed off everywhere) after a year - albeit with 30k miles. Even if one reckons in careless handling it did look worse than any other rental I had - including a lot older ones. Performance was ok but not more - I guess Im spoiled by my saab turbo... Steering was unremarkable, what was a bit strange was the whole Traction Control, Anti-Skid Brake and Cruise Control unit - see below. Seats and Interior were very uncomfortable for my 62" - seats dont go back far enough for sufficient legroom and hard plastic on door and dash hurts legs.

  • Definitely will not buy! - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Rented to see if I would like. Looked great from the counter so I was ready to go. 70 MPH across KS avgd 32 MPG. 75 MPH in CO with about 5% driving in downtown Den was 31 MPG. Not impressive. KS was windy and the steering was awful. Passenger thought I was playing games so I made him drive. He could barely keep it between the lines. Inverter noise made stereo useless(fine in other cars). Buddy complained driving position made his back hurt. Seat felt canted towards center stack. Had to look at gear selector every time to find gear. Headlights cannot be turned off at will. Power mirror switch difficult to reach. Size 14 shoes do not fit well with gas pedal.

  • Twenty Thousand Dollar Motor - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This car feels unsafe over 55 MPH on the interstate. The seats are so firm on a long trip you are so uncomfortable from the seats being hard. The interior is the cheapest I have ever seen in any small car. The inside dash and door material are the cheapest plastics I have ever seen in a car. The trunk will not open with the inside release or key every time, taken it to the dealer twice still not fixed, road noise is awful. You live and learn,I will never buy a Toyota product again. I paid $20,000 dollars for a motor that uses less gas other than that the rest is one of the cheapest made small cars I have ever seen, mine is a 2010 Corolla with 10,200 miles on it.

  • Poor interior, poor comfort - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Made the mistake of not driving it any distance. Very uncomfortable. Seats headrests seem to push your head forward, and keep your neck at a bad angle. Arm rests not in correct location. Silly little plastic foot holder for left foot to rest on, reminds me of a kayak. May be reliable, but surely not any joy to drive. Cup holders do not accept regular size household coffee cup.
