  • Good car! - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I recently purchased the 2010 Corolla. It is the LE version. Not spectacular, but it is a Corolla, what do you expect? One thing I have noticed is that at half a tank of fuel I have 283 miles - no joke. I had a Tundra before, so I know how to baby and engine. Use the average miles pg display that continuously updates. You will notice that you can very easily keep it in the 40s or more. I am getting 34 miles per gallon combined. It is possible, just dont waste your time accelerating a 4 cylinder. I felt safer in the Tundra, but I prefer the fact that it gets over twice the mileage of the Tundra and that saves a couple hundred in gas a month.

  • Going from a Truck to a Sedan - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I was looking for a car with good gas mileage and reliability. I drove a 1997 Ford F-150 for several years, and the gas and maintenance was putting a dent in my checkbook. I researched and test drove 3 cars: Honda Fit, Hyundai Elantra, and the Toyota Corolla. All fit into my price range of 15000-19000. It was close between the Hyundai and Toyota, but I chose the Corolla. It came down to reliability and dependability. Plus, theyre both priced about the same. Ive had my Corolla LE (keyless entry and cruise control) for about a week. This was my first time purchasing a car and I order through Carsdirect.com because I didnt want to deal with hassling. I got a good deal; paid 16.2.

  • Back Pain - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Even though specs say car is bigger, it seems smaller inside; feel crunched. All Corollas have slanted seats (toward back, fall into a "V" shape) which kills the back unless you use a slanted cushion. Id like to know who designs cars and why dont they get consumers input?

  • Now has Steering Fixed - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I HAD the steering problem many complain about. There is a TSB where they fix it by swapping out the steering computer and now the car is GREAT. Before that I thought I had to get rid of it. Now I LOVE the car and have about 17,000 miles on it.

  • Disappointed - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I bought a 2010 Corolla with 9500 miles on it for $15k last summer. Its been a horrible experience. On the drive home a rattle appeared above the drivers side window. I had to take the car down to the dealership once every week regarding the rattle, and they alternated between "Its fixed" to "We cant hear anything." Finally after 2 months they finally found the side air bag was messed up. I have numerous rattles in the headliner, still. The car is eating up tires, as well. Might be suspension issues, but Im sick of dealing with the dealership. Hoping to trade it in for a new Civic, soon. Will never buy Toyota again. And on top of all of this, the interior materials are horrible!

  • low mileage - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I have it since 2010. Im driving 80% - 90% on highway, around 70mph, usually full load, 4 persons. Now, it shows only 30mpg when I add gas. Ive been watching in different weather, hot/warm/cool, it is around there. The meter in the car stills shows 36mpg which I dont understand. Can someone tell me why? how to improve it?

  • The Sporty Corolla S is a Joy to Drive - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is my fifth Toyota purchase. I have never had any mechanical problems with any of my cars. I value dependability and Toyota delivers. I downsized from an Avalon XL to the much-smaller Corolla, and I dont regret my decision. My gas mileage is terrific and I can whip into the tightest of parking spaces with ease. The redesigned Corolla S is very attractive and it is a joy to drive.

  • One tankful so far - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I just got 37+mpg on the 1st tankful of gas. Like others, I am starting to notice the wander. Maybe needs more caster on the front end. It seems peppy enough for a 4. It does have a 4 cyl mild buzz during acceleration. I like the D to 3 shifter and it shifts quickly when asked using that. The door armrest seems to be a little unusual. Cup holder in the center will not accept bigger cups. It is quiet. The radio does have some bass boom to it with some music. MOVE THE CLOCK TO THE RADIO! This is my 1st Toyota.

  • A Truly Wonderful Car - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I absolutely love this car. I cant believe some of the comments on here saying anything but positive things. I have driven many cars in my life and this car is very impressive to me especially for the price. It handles like a dream, gets great gas mileage and is extremely quiet. I find it very smooth and with enough power even with the auto transmission and roomy enough for 4 adults. Trunk space is good and the seats fold down. I love the steering on this and dont have any issues with that as some others have said. Its a power assisted system which is common on most of todays cars especially luxury cars like Lexus. Great car for highway driving also. All around quality choice.

  • Pleasantly Surprised - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is my second corolla and it is a solid car. Great mpg and more comfortable than I expected! The 1.8 is as good as it gets for an economy car and the sport look is outstanding. Got the package discount and what a difference that makes! The ride is steady and sure and the feel is vague at highway speed but that will take getting used to. Cheap plastic but this car stickered for the same as my 99 corolla with more features!
