  "This is the One" - 1998 Nissan Maxima

  Prior to purchasing this great car, all cars previously owned gave me so much trouble, were so unreliable, and had to spend a lot of time and money at the dealer or somewhere else getting them fixed. After so much frustration and having heard all great things about the Maxima, specially since my brother had previously owned one (for about four months when it was stolen), I decided to buy one. In the short period of time my brother had his Maxima, he loved it, and encouraged me to get one. From the beginning I knew my Maxima was finally the one and that I had made the right choice among the other cars I looked at time of purchase.

  Ive had my MAX since January 2000. It is a vehicle well worth buying. Ive changed the oil, spark plugs, knock sensor, brakes, and timing belt. Unbelievable how I dont now the inside of dealership. Wish 2004 Max generation family had better reviews because I will stick with Nissan, just think about getting the Q45. I have 155,000 miles now and still runs almost as good as the day I bought it with 22,000 miles on it. I highly advise this car to anyone.

  Ive had more than 20 cars, and never owned one for more than 3 years before this car (9 years, >100,000). Its absolutely the perfect balance of acceptable family car, but an absolute thrill to drive, especially with the SE suspension and 5sp. I was contemplating trading it in, and I just cant do it. Ive replaced the muffler, an O2 sensor, and the blower motor for the heat/AC. If you are contemplating buying a used Maxima, I strongly encourage you to go for it!

  First car that after 2 years of owning it, I still enjoy driving. Great gas mileage on trips averaging 30 MPG on recent trip. Cant ask for much better with the power you have at your disposal. I highly recommend this car. GM eat your heart out.

  Excellent Car - 1998 Nissan Maxima

  I have owned this car for three years and I have only had to have the rear bearings changed, a new batery, new tires, and new sepentine belts. Just regular maintenance ... except for the bearings. Even though its a 98 it is comfortable and very reliable. Recommended!!

  Ive had to cars in my life. My 2 car ownership history spans from 1994 to present (2008). I had a 1988 Acura legend that I bought in 94 with 60000 miles. I got the 98 Max in Nov 99 with 30k in mileage. Im at 253k now in June 08. No major issues. Periodic tune-ups and regular oil, trans fluid and coolant changes. A great car.

  While there is a special place in my heart for this car, I cant recommend the GXE. With such a powerful engine, the car was all over the place. The extra handling power of the SE is necessary. I loved the way this car looked, inside and out, especially with the spoiler. Interior materials felt premium to me. Loved the beige velour seats. It was pretty well equipped for a base model with no options.

  Ive had a lot of cars, and this was by far the most comfortable vehicle Ive ever had. I was the third owner and at 136K miles, it was totaled after being t-boned but still drives great (wow!). I had a problem with my airbag light flashing, but didnt worry about it. Smoothest ride EVER - great for road trips, and fine in my old neighborhood with street dips. No little annoyances like in so many other vehicles. Keep up with maintenance, and youll be so happy with this car. Highly recommend.

  This car has a roomy interior with very comfortable seating. The exterior design is sleek with smoothh contours. It is very sturdy on the road with little or no noise penetrating the interior. It seems to be very reliable thus far, requiring only basic maintenance to keep it performing at an optimum level. I would definitely, highly recommend it.

  Ive only had this car a month, but Ive driven my brothers 97 SE and liked it so much I bought one myself. Great acceleration, good handling, fantastic Bose stereo.
