No styling, content or trim changes for the 2000 Honda Civic. The performance-oriented Si continues for 2000, and there have been paint comings and goings: Taffeta White has been added to the CX and DX Hatchback, and Dark Amethyst has been dropped; Titanium Metallic comes to the DX, LX and EX Sedan, and Vogue Silver is gone. Vintage Plum is now available to the LX and EX Sedan, and Inza Red has been eliminated.

• Roomier than many cars in this class, agreeable levels of comfort in any trim level, powerful Si engine.

  Has been good vehicle, fairly reliable. Major complaint is lack of power. 1993 Escort we owned before this had more power pulling up a hill; typically with the Civic, have to downshift.

  I am a female import modder, received this car as a graduation gift. Its been thru a lot....its seen shows and modifications and about 25000 miles a year for the past three years. My entire family has always driven domestics but I was converted with this car. Hondas legendary reliability has been proven to me with this little Civic. Its a very attractive year and for you modders, a gorgeous canvas with tons of mods available. Great fuel economy and with the addition of some subwoofers and an aftermarket deck, the factory speakers have also proven their worthiness. If you need fairly inexpensive, reliable, and fun, this is it. Great job Honda!

  Great Car - 2000 Honda Civic

  This was my very first car which I got for graduation present. In 9 years that I have owned it no problems have ever occured. The mpg was excellent. Only had to put full tank every week and a half. I just wished it had a little power, but for the price and reliability, it was well worth it. The interior design was a little dull but oh well. This car can be parked anywhere u want. Living in SF with such a horrible parking, takes no time to find parking.

  What can I say, I love my Honda Civic HX Coupe. I bought this car after owning two domestic lemons and could not have been happier over the past nine years. Gas mileage is exceptional, I easily get 40+ mpg on every tank of gas. I learned how to drive manual transmission on this car, so it has definitely been put through some stress and still, she runs like new. For the first 8 years of ownership, this car was virtually maintenance free except for regular oil changes. I have replaced the tires, plugs, window regulator and muffler, but all of these things are minor. Honestly, I could not have ever asked for a more dependable car. It will be a sad day when I finally have to trade her in.

  This is the first car that I have owned that I have found to be very reliable (previous cars VW bug,dodge caravan,ford tempo) we have had it for amost 3 years and have had no problems. the only bad thing was that it took a long time to get parts in when we were rearended. but other than that it has been a dream!

  I wish all if the choices here went to 1000 so i could give the car 1000 in everything! This is the best car we have ever had. Anyone looking for a car, stay away from General Motors and Ford. Hondas are the best. This is to the ceo of Honda: DONT EVER STOP BUILDING CIVICS!

  So I got this car about 3 weeks after I got my license for 3500. It had 50k miles on it and Lotta body damage. But this car is awesome. If your by yourself and theres nothing heavy in your car. The acceleration isnt half bad for a tiny engine. The handling on this is crazy good. You can go around turns and corner stuff so easy. I think Ive filled it up once in 3 weeks because of how good the mileage is. This isnt too big of an issue but for people who go really fast on the interstate. 90 is probably the fastest you ever want to be going in this car. It can go over 100 if it wants to but after 90 it just gets scary. This car is just fun to drive because you have total control. My model had no traction and stability control or abs. So the safety of this car is in the drivers hands.

  My Little Honda - 2000 Honda Civic

  I bought my Civic new about 8 years ago. My A/C went out just before the warranty was out. That wouldve been a $1400 fix had it happened 250 miles later. Other than that, Ive had no problems until recently. It now has 128,000 miles on it. The transmission needs to be rebuilt and the front brakes need to be fixed. There are a couple of other leaks and seeps that also need to be addressed. Per the dealer, will be about $4000 to fix all. Im not happy with the transmission going out so early, but that could be from my driving, or some other factor. This car had definitely been reliable!
