Overview & Reviews
No styling, content or trim changes for the 2000 Honda Civic. The performance-oriented Si continues for 2000, and there have been paint comings and goings: Taffeta White has been added to the CX and DX Hatchback, and Dark Amethyst has been dropped; Titanium Metallic comes to the DX, LX and EX Sedan, and Vogue Silver is gone. Vintage Plum is now available to the LX and EX Sedan, and Inza Red has been eliminated.
- Roomier than many cars in this class, agreeable levels of comfort in any trim level, powerful Si engine.

Great Car - 2000 Honda Civic
By Sethd1 - August 17 - 12:02 amI bought my Honda about 4 months ago and have already put 7,000 miles on it. So far the only thing that has gone wrong is a heat shield fell off but thats a simple issue and is apparantly quite common with these cars. Other than that: Pros: Great driving feel, interior is well laid out, exterior design is simple but refined, has a good balance for city driving and highway driving. Cons: Long throws for the shifter, could use a 6th gear, exterior dents easly. Overall: I love my car, its fun to drive and doesnt use much gas.

Economical, Sporty, and Reliable! - 2000 Honda Civic
By Zac - May 21 - 10:00 amMy car; a 2000 Honda Civic HX coupe w/ CVT (Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission).--After more than 2 years I am still in love with this car! It handles great- quick and responsive! Excellent fuel economy- I average 37mpg! Good ergonomics- all the controls fall easily at hand. The CVT never searches or lurches, and its much more fun than a traditional automatic. Ive never had a single problem with this car!

Civic VP - 2000 Honda Civic
By Nate - February 22 - 10:53 pmthis "family" car looks and feels more like a sports car. Although, the 6600 rpm redlines and 106 hp doesnt appeal much to the street racers, with a few mods, this has the potential to be a speed demon. the comfort is exquisite for a sedan priced just under 16000. With smooth suspension, and great handeling, the civic vp is a perfect choice for those who seek comfort, looks, and safety.

Great car, but far from perfect - 2000 Honda Civic
By bloomer98 - February 13 - 10:00 amI love almost everything about this car. The handling is nice, you dont have to change the oil but for every 7500 miles, good size/feel, good mileage, lots of good things No repair issues. The only things I dont like are the brakes (they have started to make lots of noises but are only at around 50% wear, just an annoyance) and the acceleration. The acceleration leaves a lot to be desired. You dont buy a Civic for a performance vehicle, I guess. Again, its not awful, but I wish it had a little more giddy-up going uphill.
