Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

I bought my car brand new back in April 2013. I paid for leather and heated seat. Since I bought to car everything I drive it I have chronicle back pain. the discomfort is behind description. It was the biggest mistake of my life. In addition, the dealer where I bought the car was in my opinion, the worst of all.

bought it from a used dealer, 137k in 2009. 4yrs later its at 230k. Good on gas, no break downs, just needs gas and oil change. Manage your fluids. Toronto (401 and VP) to niagra on probably 6-7 gas. Friends tell me its ugly, but i tell them there ugly!

  • Toyota screwed up the Corolla this time - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I was Toyota loyal fan for so many years. This time, I hated it because I did not do a good research. 2010 Corolla oil filter, acceleration pedal, steering problem, and maintenance requirement light within only 5000 miles. It is very bad design on oil filter. Not to mention the recalls. Toyota really screwed up this time. I want my money back.

  • Great First Car for 17 yr old Driver!!! - 2016 Toyota Corolla

We purchased this car for our daughter who is a senior in high school and getting ready to go to college in the fall of 2016. She hasnt had it very long but so far so good except its so quiet and smooth that she doesnt realize shes speeding sometimes!! Other than that well definitely know after she runs up and down the highway a few times.

  • My first Corolla and really like it so far - 2014 Toyota Corolla

I traded in a Chevrolet Sonic for this and my fiance and I share this car. I have the "no regrets" model with the Entune system with navigation, moonroof, and keyless ignition. Ive only had it a few weeks but I can definitely say I like it. What attracted me to the car in the first place is the huge number of features for the money. I also wanted a car with a CVT if I had to have an automatic. Fit and finish are excellent and above what I expected for the price. The interior is comfortable and surprisingly spacious and attractive. My fiance and I both enjoy driving it very much. It also looks great, especially in slate gray, which I thought Id never say about a Corolla.

So I wrote a review two years ago right when I bought the 2010 Corolla. A lot has changed and only for the worse. When Im on the highway it sounds like there is something retelling around the roof, and Im getting the feeling like the roof will fall off, it happens more on a windy day, also the car is starting to jerk when Im in drive at 40mph trying to go faster. The car also has a problem with pick up when I want to accelerate and switch lanes. Over all Im getting scared of driving this car, and Im thinking of trading it in, not for another Toyota, I believer they are getting to expensive and the quality is going down hill. The dealer always has excuses on not looking in to this mater.

  • Almost Flawless - 1997 Toyota Corolla

A member of my family bought this car new in 97. I took ownership in 05 with 130K miles. This car has never been a problem!! Besides scheduled maintenance there has been little work done. It now has 190K miles on original wheel bearings, axles, exhaust, alternator, starter, engine, tranny, you name it. We have never seen a Check Engine light or had any sort of breakdown. I would drive it cross-country tomorrow if I had to. The only problem that has come up, besides just starting to use oil (1 quart in 2000 miles) is that the AC wont work in cool weather to defrost the windows but works fine in summer heat. Absolutely the best car Ive ever owned.

  • perfect for me - 2003 Toyota Corolla

Test driving cars finally ended when I decided to go over to a Toyota dealer. I shopped for cars for a long time, but I am very satisfied with what I bought. Only complaint is that the car sits way too high! I will drop the car an inch or two. Everything else is great. I am a college student and I need a car thats reliable and fast on the side. It has been easy to mod the car up.

  • What A Great Little Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Being retired, we tried getting along with one car for a year but, living in a rural area, it just didnt work. After much research, we decided on the Corolla CE as best suited for our second car needs. Now after 9 months of of trouble free ownership, its rapidly taking primary car status away from our 05 Pacifica. The little car is pleasing to drive and feels bigger than it is. Our fuel mileage is consistenly higher than that posted on the window sticker.

  • cute, fun car - 2003 Toyota Corolla

Nice car. What I would expect from a car for $15K. Sports package (name only), not really sporty except for looks. Engine options and handing options would be nice for this S package. Fun to drive. Engine even has a little kick to it.
