Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Disappointed - 2006 Toyota Corolla

I purchased this vehicle about 1 1/2 year ago for my daughter. After considering several models and wanting a reliable car I went with this model because of its sporty looks and Toyotas reputation. However I am really disappointed with it since it just broke dowm in the middle of the Lincoln tunnel of all places. This vehicle only has 24,000 miles on it. I took it in to Toyota and the service manager says they have been having this problem with some of the 06 model. It has to do with the computer engine. Finally a word of advise if you are not under warranty beware you will be out around $900 if this happens to you. I am very disappointed and seriously considering a trade in.

  • Corolla rocks - 1994 Toyota Corolla

National car dealers hate Corolla and consumers like it. Corolla can easily last more than 15 years. So far we have only fixed Alternator and front brake rotors. Everything else still running. In fact, my corolla still very quite. I do oil change (syntetic) and clean fuel system on schedule. I am confident this car will last 200K.

  • Too hyped. Very uncomfortable vehicle - 1996 Toyota Corolla

This is actually my wifes car, but as a 62" person, this car is horible for comfort. The door jam is small compared to similar cars. The vehicle is very underpowered and gets lousy gas milage at that!

  • Excellent Transportation - 2002 Toyota Corolla

Amazing little car it gets 39 MPG with 5 speed manual transmission. Excellent commuter. I paid $11,800 for this jewel brand new and it has been a very reliable automobile. Its going on 60K miles and no problem. It has Air Conditioning but no power windows.

  • Lived Up to Rep - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Got pretty good deal on 2010 LE Toyota Corolla. Paid few hundred dollars less than average cost. Decent miles for a 2010 (75,000 miles). No significant bells and whistles, so pretty basic. Previous owners spilled bucket of pickle juice on back seat, so a repeated ordeal trying to remove smell, but just bad luck. Overall pleased.

  • Like a good pair of old jeans.. - 1995 Toyota Corolla

For me its car # 5...but the best till now and I think that it will be hard to top. I have a 2000 Sienna, but not even this excellent family taxi can top my little warrior. I have had her for 10 years now and I do not have a doubt in my mind that Ill have her for 5 years more... with help from God maybe 20 yrs, even in an island like Puerto Rico which is known to be tough on cars even the tough SUVs.

  • I made the right decision!!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla

I realy like this car. It was between this, the civic and the Hyundai Sonata. I chose this one because the inviting interior, the sporty look, and the whole price/package. I am enjoying this after the first week!

  • As Expected - Reliable Vehicle - 2015 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Bought my 2015 Carolla, December 2015. I had not purchased a vehicle in 10 years. Was looking for something reliable, updated, fuel efficient, fun to drive and looked good. The Carolla has come a long way since its inception. The styling and design is 21st Century. Its comfortable, drives smooth and looks good. It has everything I wanted in a new car. Was also very pleased with the Dealership I went to and their staff, very helpful. Was able to get what I wanted for the price I wanted!

  • The Best of Many Worlds - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I spent a lot of time deciding on a car. I was almost sure I wanted a Civic Si, but when I randomly saw and test drove the XRS, my search had come to an end. It combines comfort, very decent styling, excellent interior materials and build quality, and easily the most rev-happy engine in its class. It can be driven mildly, as it doesnt actually hit 170hp until high (6-7k) rps but if you actually enjoy driving, its a blast. Love revving way up in 1st and youre good to go from there on out. Combine these things with the fact that Toyota has maintained a reliability record that with Honda has been on the decline, and you have one great car...if youre lucky enough to find one!
