This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.

  • Outstanding - 2004 Honda Accord

I have owned quite a few vehicles in my time bit this is by far the best. Its the only car Ive ever owned where I dont lust after other cars. Its a pleasure to drive and it was reasonably priced. Every time I see another car like it (and I see alot lately)I check it out so I can see how I look going down the road, I look great. It handles great and the power is there without losing fuel economy. I am seriously grateful that I found this car.

  • Simply the best for your buck - 2004 Honda Accord

Okay, Im biased, I bought a Honda civic 15 years ago and Ive never owned anything other than a Honda since. I get a new accord every 4 years or style change. Love em.

Love driving this car, I have to use the crusie control because this is a fast car. Ill be doing 90 mph and not even know it! For a 4 banger this car really performs like a 6 banger, handles well and you can accelerate quickly from 60 to 80 with a slight push on the gas pedal. My wife calls it "the fast car", she enjoys it as much as I do.

  • Very Good, But Improvements Needed - 2004 Honda Accord

Im 6-1 and I have good leg room. This is the best car Ive ever owned and my first Honda. The navigation system helped me get out of a confusing sea of unexpected detours during a massive traffic jam in an unfamiliar major city recently by letting me view a street map and suggesting alternative routes. Will definitely pay for a XM subscription when the three-month free trial ends. The sound system is great. Caution: Using a metalic rear-window tint may make the navigation system go screwy, but no problems with my after-market dark rear window tint . Annoying rattle inside, but havent had a chance to take it back to the dealer.

  • The Best Value on the Road - 2004 Honda Accord

Honda really did their homework improving the current generation of Accord. Build quality is excellent, materials unsurpassed for a sub-$30000 car. Great content for the $$. Plenty of power, all of the creature comforts including the best seats available in an affordable family sedan. Stereo has been improved by a wide margin over the previous generation. Bravo to Honda for marketing to the future by making XM Satellite radio standard on the EX V6. Could not be happier with this car!

  • My favorite car - 2004 Honda Accord

This car has a lot of get up and go! The navigation system is excellent. The ride is smooth and quiet. It is the best driving car I have owned.

  • Better than my old accord in every way - 2004 Honda Accord

This is my second honda accord. My first was a 2001 4 dr 4 cyl. My complaints about that car were limited. Inadequate brakes and not enough power with the auto trans. This new honda takes care of all my gripes. The performance is very good for a 28k car. The nav/cd/xm stereo is very user friendly and down right fun to play with. My only complaint about this car is that the stiff underpinnings bring out the rattles in the interior trim.

  • An All Around Great Car - 2004 Honda Accord

Honda automobiles are constantly in the top ten and the 2004 Accord 6 cyl Accord EX is one of the reasons why. I saved thousands of dollars after I found a car buying advice article called Beat The Dealer. This automobile is fast, quiet, wonderfully built, great gas mileage (over 30 MPG highway and its not even broken in yet). It handles very well and is great fun to drive. The leather seats are of better quality than in my Acura. This is the way cars are supposed to be built and perform. At under $24,000 (negotiated price), this car rivals luxury cars costing much, much more.

  • Perfect? No, but awfully good! - 2004 Honda Accord

Incredible value, motor & tranny rock. Economy oriented Michelins are LOUD on grooved concrete, etc. Bumps transmitted clearly through seat - want soft, cushy ride? Camrys your car. XM will transform your roadtripping experience. Tire size could be bigger w/ more aggressive rubber. Stealership accessories a ripoff. Overall - love it. My third Accord (nough said).

  • Going Strong - 2004 Honda Accord

Best car Ive owned... period. Bought new, now has 96,000 miles and all Ive done is change tires, put in a new battery, change oil and filter regularly, and install a new set of brakes. Still feels tight and still fun to drive I have to remind myself how many miles Ive put on it. Mileage is good: 32-34 on the highway, 22-24 around town. Very practical: Ive carried 8 2x4s inside!
