This Year's Model Updates:

Since the Maxima was updated last year and is scheduled for a redesign in 2004, there are no major changes in store for the family sedan in 2003. There's a Titanium Edition package available for the SE and side airbags are now standard on GLEs.

Pros:
  • Impressively powerful V6 engine, sports car moves, availability of premium features, plenty of room for five adults.
Cons:
  • High price, rough ride quality with SE suspension.

  • Performance and Economy - 2003 Nissan Maxima

I wanted to purchase the SE before Nissan changed the vehicle in March. I cant say enough good things about this vehicle. For the money it simply can not be beat. I am averaging over 30 miles per gallon, traveling the interstate at 80 mph. The combination of power and economy is very impressive. Anyone considering a V6 Accord/Camry should really check out the Maxima.

  • Just got it - 2003 Nissan Maxima

Bought the 2003 because my old car was a 5 speed 91 Celica and I just got tired of the shifting in rush hour traffic and it was time for a new car! Since the 2004 model was out, Deland Nissan offered great incentives to move the 03 and everyone at the dealship has been outstanding! Got an excellent deal, including what I got for the trade in. Since Ive had the car less than a month, it has , of course, performed flawlessly. Great ride and handling.

  • Maxima kicks butt!!! - 2003 Nissan Maxima

This car is awesome. It truly kicks butt. This car is FAST and handles like an exotic sports car. You take off and barely touched the gas pedal. Its comfortable and the engine is sooo smooth. This car is like having a Lexus ES 300 w/out paying for an ES 300. Love the HID Xenons and the gated auto shifter.

  • My second Max - 2003 Nissan Maxima
    By -

We just got our second Maxima. WOW!! What improvements they have made since 2000. The 255hp realy moves. The Titanium Package adds many of the extras we wanted, we also opted for the Meridian and Traction Control. The only thing we diddnt get was the Nav System. I have to say that this car is the best value for your dollar in the performance luxury market. This car is awesome to drive.

  • Happily Surprised - 2003 Nissan Maxima

I previously owned a BMW 3 series vehicle and I have been very impressed with the drive and ride of my Maxima SE. Very responsive, accelerates like no other, performancewise I have not looked back wishing I had kept the BMW. Dealership experience was best I have ever had, however I am still waiting for my valet key after 5 months. Very glad I bought this vehicle.

  • GET THIS CAR FAST!! - 2003 Nissan Maxima
    By -

I just got this car from Hertz Car sales, and dont be afraid to buy from a rental company. I love my maxima, best car i have ever driven. Being a teen, i love flooring it, it has so much power. The other cars i drive, which are my parents is a 2001 Chrysler T&C and a 1994 Dodge Grand Caravan. This is soo much easier to park and a lot more fun to drive. I am 61" size 14 feet and i have more than enough room in it. I also love the exterior design. The Nissan dealership was very mean, hiking the prices very high, so go to a rental car place. Also has better gas milage than the vans i drive. Get this car now!
