Overview & Reviews
Since the Maxima was updated last year and is scheduled for a redesign in 2004, there are no major changes in store for the family sedan in 2003. There's a Titanium Edition package available for the SE and side airbags are now standard on GLEs.
- Impressively powerful V6 engine, sports car moves, availability of premium features, plenty of room for five adults.
- High price, rough ride quality with SE suspension.

Bang for Buck - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By jreddington - March 10 - 10:00 amHated 04 styling. Picked up used (13K) 03. All options incl. Nav. Potenzas hydroplane. Suspension and low profile tires are great for smooth roads. Potholes knock you silly. Squeaks and rattles down the road? Also disappointed with the BOSE stereo. Cranked up full volume, still not enought when windows and sunroof are open. My 92 SE had a better BOSE system. Im still debating whether the nav system is useful or a toy. It seems shoehorned in and having to do A/C controls on the screen seems an afterthought when they took the dash real estate away from the standard controls. I think the dash looks better without the nav system.

Like a top - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By bob - February 17 - 4:33 pmThis is my 5th Maxima, each held for three years and an average 25,000 miles per year. No maintenance problems other than brakes and tires have been experienced. Just routine oil changes at 3-5k miles. The ONLY car found that does NOT give me a back ache after 2 plus hours of driving. Runs like a top.

Maxima is the Perfect car - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By DanielM. - January 31 - 2:00 amGreat Car. 255 HP and only $27,000, Amazing. The car gets looks, cause of its great 17 inch rims, and its wonderful headlights. The interior is professional and the Sound system is amazing. I Played the Lion Kings Circle of life in there and Whoa, I felt so moved. Got Great pep. And The TCF system, Perfect for stupid drivers, it honestly fixes every stupid move you make.

Feel the force - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By Ntense1 - December 31 - 10:00 amAs you enter the Maxima the true pleasure of power exudes from the very enviroment of the interior of the SE model. This feeling of power is reinforced the first time you push the gas pedal. Irritaed by the guy in front of you?? Give the gas pedal a twitch and look behind you for his expression. The Maxima is to the driving experience that sugar is to a child. GIVE ME MORE!!!!!

03 SE Glacier Pearl - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By giant56 - December 14 - 10:00 amThis is my third Max (previously owned 93 GXE and 98 SE). Love the Xenon headlamps, roominess, power and ammenities. I hope this vehicle is as dependable as the other Maxs I have owned. This is the main reason I checked out the Maxima a third time.
