a good compromise - 1999 Nissan Maxima
By skippys - November 1 - 2:00 amGood compromises: its spirited yet soft and peppy yet docile. Backseat and trunk more useable than some of its competitors. Engine pulls hard and sounds good throughout most of its range although top end thrust is lacking. Auto has a hard 1-2 shift when cold. I found the steering wheel more comfortable/responsive than others. Interior looks great although there are a couple of rattles/squeaks (easily fixable, but still). Overall Im pleased and wouldnt be considerably happier (for what I was willing to spend) without two different cars. It can either comfortably haul around four people or I can play.

The Best of Both Worlds - 1999 Nissan Maxima
By My Dream Sedan - August 21 - 10:00 amI drove Accord, Camry, Passat, and Maxima looking for a sporty and roomy sedan with performance and quality. The Nissan is the only one that had it all for me. The engine is top notch and if you werent moving forward you wouldnt even know it was running. I love the roomy and uncluttered interior. Everything is easy to find and reach. My Maxima has every option and I cant think of anything thing I would add. I just love how this car feels when you are driving it.

mostly a great car - 1999 Nissan Maxima
By topper30 - July 8 - 10:00 amI bought this because I got a good deal on it. It has been a great car overall. I have had only a few problems that seem to be common for this car. I had the Oxygen sensor go out at 40,000 mi., tires prematurely needing replaced at 25,000 mi., and my cd player is dead. Not bad compared to most cars. I just got spoiled with my Toyota that I had previously.

Simply Remarkable - 1999 Nissan Maxima
By Ryan G - June 28 - 7:33 amI was looking for a Honda but the resell value was too high so I purchased the Maxima and I have not regretted it since. With nearly 150,000 miles the engine still sounds new and it performs incredibly well. Incidental maintenance becomes an issue as the car gets older i.e. alternator, cylinder, plugs, but major failures seem near impossible. If you have a choice this is the best pre-owned car value on the road!

Great car for your money - 1999 Nissan Maxima
By Artur - May 7 - 10:00 amI have purchased the car a year ago.I have 34000 miles on it, and I drive this car to its limits everyday, very fast, and very harsh. The whole time I owned this car, the only problem I have is with the gears on the car, are always late on shifting, other than that the car has not given me any problems, and is very fun to drive.
