All package is whack - 2016 Honda Civic

Poor Acceleration on Steep Hills - 2016 Honda Civic
By Khush Cheema - November 20 - 4:25 pmLooking and comparing between Honda Civic LX with CVT XMSN and Mazda 3. The engine of civic roared when climbing up a hill without increasing or maintaining the original speed. The engine rpm didnt go higher than about 3400 and the car slowed down while climbing small hills. I think this is an attribute of CVT. I also rode a Toyota Prius in Pennsylvania that has CVT as well and it reminded me of that. Also, Mazda 3 has much more technology features than civic. I found civic interior dull and flat as compared to Mazda 3. I think Im going with Mazda 3 since these two cars are very close with every other feature and Mazda 3 has traditional 6 speed automatic XMSN.

Please change the rear seats! - 2016 Honda Civic

The front seats are perforated leather worthy of luxury cars, but rear seats are of plain jane variety reminding you of police cruisers and taxicabs (puke!)

Could be a great car - 2016 Honda Civic
By Steve - January 21 - 2:09 amThis car could be great, but I have had electrical issues well as problems with the third brake light housing. I have found, per my dealership, that every coupe with a third brake light has the housing coming down. Honda has not developed a fix for this yet so I have a third brake light housing that is hanging down from the rear area. As well as the electrical issues have left me less than satisfied. I hope Honda gets it together and fixes these problems soon.

Transmission Control Module - 2016 Honda Civic
By Marissa Solomero - April 3 - 4:42 amWhen I had owned this car for about 90 days when I was leaving TopGolf the dashboard warning lights were all flashing and then the car transmission had locked and I could not put my car into drive. I had to tow it to the dealership where I bought it and they reviewed the car and found the TCM had been disconnected so they reconnected it and I went about my day. Then the error occurred again during a move and drive down to Florida. When we stopped to fill up and I turned on the car the issue happened again. The part apparently needed to be completely replaced because the pins meant to keep the TCM connected had been faulty. Please be aware of this and HONDA please place a recall/replacement on this issue. Several other people I know have had this same issue on brand new Civics. Being stranded and in need of a tow is dangerous and frustrating. PLEASE RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!!!!!

Less than expected from ratings and hype - 2016 Honda Civic
By Sue Glassman - March 29 - 1:34 pmI wanted the Civic due to its reliability and gas mileage ratings and hassle free maintenance. First, the tire pressure light was on from the second day I had the car. I called Honda and ended up checking the tire pressure myself which was fine and then pressing the reset button several times until the light went off. No one mentioned this issue at the dealership or that there is a special reset button for this purpose. Second, according to the Civics own gas mileage indicator on the dash board, I am getting less than 24 mpg. Third, when you connect the blue tooth, the phone is connected but not the media (ex waze). Fourth, there is no cd player (only radio). Fifth, the storage compartments in the car are minimal and do not have closures like the kia forte. There are a total of 3 easily accessible cup holders that double as the storage console. The back seats do not come down for extra trunk storage if you need it. You have to play with the buttons and dials to get the a/c to work properly so you dont die of heat stroke before it kicks in. Overall, I guess as long as this car lasts without any big bills until I turn it in, will have to be happy.

Wait another year or two - 2016 Honda Civic
By David Payne - May 4 - 3:33 pmWait, and I say wait because I am experiencing audio issues. Hence this being a new car, I figured issues would be popping up. The center consoles bluetooth system fades in and out and the Apple Carplay system does the same. Some days it will connect to my phone and some days it works for a few minutes and says "no device connected." Aside from the audio issues, car is great on gas and is understandably one of the top ranked vehicles in its class after looking into the Mazda 3 and Toyota Corolla.
