  From a BMW to a 2018 Accord Touring Sedan - 2018 Honda Accord

  I traded in my 2016 BMW 330i for a 2018 Accord Touring Sedan and I could not be happier. I am not a fan of Hondas but after reading several review and watching YouTube videos I decided to take a test drive. First and foremost the look is amazing. Looks very similar to an Audi A7. The fastback style it easy on the eyes with the 19-inch wheels and has perfect lines and detail. The interior competes with many luxury cars as the leather and seat comfort is fantastic for long drives. The aesthetics on the console and steering wheel compliment the vehicles upscale interior. The Navigation is average as the Accord utilizes Garmin for services and lacks many custom options you would find on other brands. Boot up time on the Navigation head unit is also a bit slow. The ride on the other hand is amazing. Nice and smooth even with the larger wheels and performance tires. The car comes with Sport and Eco mode options and Eco mode is a serious disaster. It dumbs the car down to something my Grandma would drive. The Sport mode thought is fantastic. You can really see the performance of the 1.5 turbo engine. This is a mode I will never change as it opens up the cars performance. A couple of features I miss are the electronic adjust steering wheel and side mirrors. You need to use your hands to make the adjustments and can be a bit of a pain. The Honda Sensing features are great bit also a but overreactive. I have had by Lane Watch warning go off when a car pulled up to me at a stop light. a bit annoying. Overall. I am glad I purchased this car and would recommend to anyone that is looking for a solid sedan.

  My First Automatic Honda - 2018 Honda Accord

  So far I am very pleased with this car! I have previously owned 2 Accord V6’s with 6-speed manuals and this is my first with an automatic. I’m very pleased with the shifting. It’s an overall seamless experience. The torque of the 2.0 engine is very strong down low and all the way to the redline. I absolutely love the interior appointments in this car. You will feel as if you spent much more money. Honda now offers many more standard features on lower trims and the Sport 2.0T is very well equipped for the price. I would recommend this car for anyone! Way to go Honda!!

  The car has numerous safety features, knee air bags as well as side curtain air bags. It not only looks great it is a pleasure to drive.

  I have owned most makes of cars. I have bought about forty ,(40) New cars in my life. This is my passion, the smell, the feel, the joy a new car can bring is priceless to me. I have owned, 3/ BMW 3s,1/ Jaguar X ,2/ Acuras TL & TSX ,2/ Infinities-I35s, 4/ VW Passat w/modifications, 4/Kia Optima SX &SXLs 2.0Ts, and an assortment of Toyotas, Nissans, Mazdas , Hyundais and Hondas. On Nov. 29 2017, after extensive research I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring 1.5, white/white. This is the first car of all I have bought that has every technical feature I have ever wanted. IT rides with a certain alacrity, It stays flat in corners, the seats actually hold me in place without sliding . There is no bounciness over undulations on the road, and the steering is as precise as my BMW 328 ci. The 1.5 turbo has the requisite amount of power for my at my current age and skill level and with the body colored rear spoiler I had the dealer install ,(it has a black strip on top of the white), it is quite attractive. I went to the local Kia dealer to pick up my wife while her 2017 Kia Sorento was being serviced, and every available sales person and manager went out to look at it, and wanted talk to me about it. That has never happened to me with any other car I have owned. In closing you can chastise, promote ,ridicule, or prefer whatever car you want, but until you Buy It, Own It, Drive It, you really dont know...Do You.

  I like this car. It is comfortable, rides well and has lots of room. As a long-time Honda owner, I am very impressed with how quiet the car is.

  Best: Most safety features are standard except proximity beeper, which cost $1K to buy/install. Very professional sales staff. Very positive experience. I love my new car.

  Pretty, Peppy but Too Techy - 2018 Honda Accord

  It sits low on the passenger side but weve had worse with KIA several years ago. At least you can see out of the entire window . A short person like me has good visibility and feels comfortable even with the low slung look. Like Hondas weve had before, it has a lot of pep, as though it wants to take off if only youd let it. It isnt quiet compared to Toyota, Hyundai or KIA even with the white noise adjustment. I looked everywhere to find how you know if it is on. Only the service tech could find it. I look at the manual a lot. In other words it has too much tech stuff for us that young and younger people like to play with but well never use. But then it is aimed at persuading the younger driver to switch from an SUV. We looked at Toyota too but liked the Hondas styling better.Ours is pretty to look at (red) and people have come up and asked about it. One day I found forehead prints all over the windows. Hope they werent planning to steal it.

  Terrific luxurious feeling car with a bargain price tag. Technology is outstanding. Only mistake by Honda is not allowing buyers to choose the engine they want as an option, rather than offering the 2.0 only in packages that would put you well into Acura TLX money.

  2018 Accord. Another Terrific Generation! - 2018 Honda Accord

  After owning a 2013, 2014 and 2016 Accord I was excited about the new generation. The first thing that stood out when I sat in the vehicle is improved his visibility. The dash is low and the pillars are thin giving you terrific visibility. Navigation and heads up display are now properly placed (high) on dash. I was a little troubled initially because there was no full-time tachometer visible on the display. The factory ships this in the off position. It can be turned on full-time in settings and all of your other information is displayed in the center of the tach (looks great). There is a lot of discussion regarding the 1.5 L turbo. I have always bought the four-cylinder in the past for gas mileage. I keep the vehicle in eco-mode and have not noticed a difference in power with this engine versus the previous 2.4 L Others have mentioned engine noise but it is not noticeable in the touring model due to the acoustic glass on the front and sides. Engine is not broken in yet and I have already achieved over 40 mpg on the highway on several trips

  I came out of a 2015 Genesis sedan lease and financed the 2018 Accord Touring the day it went on sale in October 2017. I test drove the 2018 Camry (Toyota missed a lot of the tech the Accord has, making it a no go for me, even in the top trim level...plus the Camry costs more), 2017 CR-V (nice vehicle, but Accord had a few features the CR-V doesnt, like cooled seats and the newer Honda infotainment system), 2017 Mazda CX-5 (nice, but missing some tech), and the 2018 Audi A5 Sportback (super nice, but with a price tag to go along with it...$57K). The Accord was the clear winner of the bunch. It is somewhat reminiscent of my Genesis from a tech standpoint, but for $20K less. The Accord is easily the most luxurious feeling midsize family sedan Ive driven, trumping even the Mazda 6. The material and build quality in the cabin is top notch; everything feels great to the touch. The active safety tech works well. The cabin is roomy and visibility is great. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are very useful and work well with Hondas new infotainment system (the 2018 Odyssey is the only other Honda with this new system). The sound system in the Touring is pretty good. Not an enthusiast-level system by any means, but certainly better than most non-luxury car "high-end" systems Ive heard. The heated and cooled seats work very well. The car is relatively quiet on the highway compared to the competition, although coming from a Genesis which was bank vault-quiet, it seems a bit noisy by comparison. I do mostly highway driving at 77 MPH and have been averaging 34 MPG combined which is good, but not amazing. My car is the Radiant Red Metallic with Ivory leather and the combo is quite striking. Ive been stopped by a few people who cant believe it is an Accord. On the negative side of things: power is just adequate. Its not slow, but compared to competitors with a V-6 or even the upcoming 2.0T Accord, it is a bit underwhelming. If you want performance, wait for the 2.0T at the end of Nov 2017. It is faster than the old V-6 Accord and even the new Camry V-6. The other benefit of the 2.0T will be the 10-speed auto in place of the CVT the 1.5T has. Its is okay as far as CVTs go, but not my favorite kind of transmission. Bottom line: this is without a doubt the best midsize family sedan on the market currently. Toyota tried with the new Camry, but failed pretty hard in my book. The Camrys 8-speed transmission is jerky, the interior is a bit of a chocolate mess, there is no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, no ventilated seats, and no memory seats at ANY trim level, even the fully loaded XSE V-6 which costs an unbelievable $40K. Every major auto publication comparison test between the two cars has given the Accord the victory at every trim level, so theres no doubt the Accord will continue its reign as the most winning vehicle of all time on Car and Drivers annual 10 Best List.
