This car is a beast that just wants to keep going. 202,000 and I just had a number of wear & tear repairs but I think its at the half life point roughly. Weather doesnt phase it and the rust is very minimal for a car I dont garage or baby in any way. Superb investment so glad I bought it new.

Ive had this car for 4 months, and have no major complaints. Its got a very smooth ride, but could use some more oomph when accelerating from 20 mph on a highway entrance ramp to go to 60 mph. Ive consistantly been getting 40-44 mph. I do miss my 91 Mazda 626 2.2L 5-speed, especially its acceleration. I do realize Im dropping down a bit in engine size. All-in all Im very satisied with my new Toyota!

I was very careful in making this purchase and thank god edmunds was there to help. I owned a ford (fixed or repaired daily) 00 focus before this and it is a motorcycle compared to this car. The dealer was fair in the price and what can i say, when you shut the door, its a quiet, comfortable ride with a zoom zoom that beat out the noisy mazdas i test drove. And on top of that it also beats the small honda civic by far for its class. Buy it, the money is well worth it and the car will give you the peace of mind your looking for. Well built, nice body style with the ground effects and fog lights, and you get what you pay for.

Love the car, was going to get Civic, but I am so glad I didnt. Only thing is mine had/has a few issues. Air recirculation was broken from the start. My brakess slip slightly when I am at a comlete stop, and makes clink sound when going into reverse. Dealer cant duplicate so they wont look at it. Its minor but it bugs me. All in all, I love the car. And if you try to replace the rear speakers, get a pro to do it or get ready to do some major work.

There isnt much to say other than Toyota is the best and the 2002 Corolla is just part of its great family of cars.

  • great japanese car! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

Its really powerful on its class for 130hp than other japanese cars. nice interior and exterior, rally-feel suspension and dashboard. the car come with front and rear stabilizer bars and it is very good on cornering but only for dry condition. it is extreamly dangerous on wet condition because the car come with firestone tire. my car was having a short distance skid when i step on the brake on wet condition on the second day after i got the car. ill upgrade the tire to either yokohama or turanza and 16-inch alloy wheel rather than 15- inch since the car got no ABS.

I have owned the 03 Corolla Sport for about 1.5 years. We have put about 20,000 miles on the car. Overall, I really like this car. I love the style and the ride. I marked a 9 for fuel economy because I dont think we ever get the listed mileage - but when does that every happen? I gave it lower marks on interior design and comfort because of the position of the steering wheel. I feel like I am sitting too close to the wheel, but if I move further back, I cant reach the pedals. The other thing that I dont like is the ground effects make it impossible to change your own oil.

This is our 4th Corolla, and it shares the driveway with my 89 GT-S and my daughters 88 DX, each with over 200K miles on their odometers. We traded in my wifes tired Camry for it, and she absolutely loves it. Its roomy, good- looking, easy on the pocketbook, and fun to drive.
