Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • good car but - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car three years ago and it was a demo with 1,200. I traded in a 1998 Camry which was a great car. After driving this for one day I was realized what a mistake I had made, the road noise was atrocious. It gets great gas mileage, as high as 40 mpg on a road trip, 32 as an average, but the headlights are terrible at night on regular beam, in fact it is downright dangerous. I am in process of trading the corolla in on a Hyundai sonata, 2011. I have bought toyotas for years but since about 2007 and after, you read more bad than you do good about toyotas.

  • Excellent Car - 2004 Toyota Corolla

This is my second Toyota. My first was a 94 Celica (+130k miles) a few years back and I never had a problem. Being a stupid teenager, shortly after I wanted to get a big Explorer. I had too many problems with fuel economy and reliability that I decided to go back to Toyota. The biggest reason I bought my Corolla was for gas. I save 14 dollars every week driving a Corolla over my Explorer. The car is great.

Experience has been better than I expected. Overall performance has been awesome. With my oil changes every 3000 miles and rotation of tires, manufacturers maintenance, I have only had 1 new belt and new water pump since I bought the car. Great car as far as gas economy. 30-40 mpg. Definitely will buy again when im thru with this one. Hopefully not until 10+ yrs or more.

  • Toyota 2009 S 5 speed - 2009 Toyota Corolla

I had a 2007 Toyota Corolla CE bought as a second commuter car for business. After driving it for about 11 months, I got tired of it small size and basic features. I traded it in for a 2009 Corolla S, 5 Speed 1.8 L. This car is much bigger inside, heavier and feels more substantial and less cheap. It is said that the first two years of a model are the best for build quality and then the manufacturer cuts corners to make more money. I noticed this in the reviews of the previous 2003 to 2008 editions of the Corolla. The steering could be a bit heavier. The car is very quiet, enhancing the audio system.

I just picked up my car a week ago. So far, I only put on 500 miles. I like it so far. It drives comfortably and very quiet. I am surprised how quiet it is.

  • Best Car I Ever Owned! - 2001 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I have had several cars over the years, but, this Toyota Corolla LE is the best car ever! Ive had oil changes and new tires to sum up the maintenance on this vehicle since I bought it. Ive had terrible luck with all my past cars even though I maintained them as the manual instructed. Ive bought new cars and used cars and never had such success and maintenance free experience as I have with my Corolla.

  • Corolla S 2004 - 2004 Toyota Corolla

I bought my titanium metallic Corolla S brand new with the sports package. in May. Now after 4 months, looking back. lets just say I would never trade this car for anything. From the outside it looks so gorgeous. The performance of this car is incredible with 1.8L 130 HP with 127 foot-pounds of torque. Mine being an automatic, clocked a 0-100 KM in about 8.9 secs, whereas, a manual is known to clock a 0-100 KM in an incredible 7.9 secs. This car drives beautifully and drives so quietly even when going at 120 KM/h. For dollar-to- dollar value, there is simply no other car in its class that comes close to this.
