This Year's Model Updates:

Wow, what a beauty. The redesigned Maxima bows with an aerodynamic shape and a lengthened wheelbase. The new Maxima is available as a budget-minded GXE, sporty SE or luxurious GLE. All Maximas get the 190-horsepower engine previously exclusive to the SE.

Ive had this car for 2 years. it has 156,000 mile on it and is running strong. its got a very roomy interior with a very nice 200watt stock Bose audio system. this car can keep up with cars with 50+ horsepower advantages weighing in at only 2895 lbs for the 5 speed version. this car keeps up with my friends 260 hp cura 3.2 Cl Type S. theres almost nothing that could persuade me to get rid of this car. Ill drive it til it dies

Runs and drives as if youre on a cloud! VERY smooth and quiet engine and transmission. NO problems, what- so-ever. A pleasure to own. I bought this car with 139,000 on it and youd never know it. Just routine maintenance. Parts (when they do need replacing) are a little more expensive than american, but is well worth it. These car will last forever. I will drive this car until the wheels fall off! Nissans Rock!!

I have 95 Maxima with over 160,000 miles on it and I never had to change anything, except for the oxigen sensor which is only about $100.

Original brakes lasted 125,000 miles. Replacement brakes lasted 110,000. Original exhaust system. Clutch replaced at factory expense at 35,000 miles. Replaced original starter and alternator. Average 26 - 27 mpg, high speed driving. Replaced struts at 270,000 miles. I expect to log wll over 300,000 miles. This car is fantastic!!! Terrific performance and economy. Best car on the road for the money.

I just recently bought a Nissan Maxima SE, Its got a 187,000 kms on it and it looks brand new. its only had one owner before me, who purchased it brand new in 1995. I still cant understand how someone could keep a car for 18 years, drive it everyday and still have it in impeccable condition. it literally doesnt have a scratch on the paint. I dont think anybody ever sat in the back or in the front passenger seat, even the driver side is 90% of its original brand new condition. I dont think anything was ever placed in the trunk and the 18 year old alloy wheels look brand new. I have truly scored a Gem and I hope to keep it till it dies. Hats off to Nissan, they made a great car

Ill never buy Chevy again. My Nissan is 11 years old and has 200,000 miles and has been the most reliable car Ive ever had!!

  • I hate to part with her... - 1995 Nissan Maxima

I bought her brand-spanking new at start of 1995 and have loved the ride, style, and general performance. Havent as much cared for any of the later models of Maxima until 2002 though. Now with 122,000 miles and need for more cargo and people space Im looking to sell---dealer wanted to give me $3500 trade-in...which is a joke for my well-cared for machine.

Ive been very happy with my Maxima purchase. Ive only owned the car 4 months, but only routine maintenance is required. (Car has 142,000 miles) No major problems, except bad water pump seal. Minor oil leak, which is the oil pressure switch, diagnosed by my mechanic The 3.0 engine I LOVE, along with the super-quiet, comfortable ride. I thought about trading it in for a 95 Camry (with car payments-no thanks)!! Then I decided not to because my Max is so beautiful in/out, along with the Nissan reliability! Drives too damn good to even THINK about giving him up. Change all fluids regularly and itll last forever. No car payments! Nissan Maxima is the way to go for reliability!!!!
