Everything I wanted - 2017 Honda Civic
By Titu - November 18 - 4:54 amI was looking for a car compact enough to fit in my garage with modern safety technologies like adaptive cruise control (coming to a complete stop) and lane keep assist. Went for the EX-T with the sensing package. Wanted the extra oomph, so got the turbo. The higher fuel economy is a plus. The overall buying experience was great. I got an internet quote from Walnut Creek Honda. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. * Likes: Great balance of ride and handling. Looks great on the outside and inside. Sensing package. Roomy front, rear seats, and trunk. Great road and wind noise isolation. Good fuel economy. Android auto. * Dislikes: CVT not good for spirited driving but great for fuel economy. Noisy under acceleration, engine sound in the cabin is not pleasant to hear. Front seats can be more comfortable. Miss the volume knob. The thin cloth fabric looks cheap. Sometimes, I need to plug in the phone twice for Android auto, I think it is because it routes the phone via Bluetooth and audio via the cable. Overall great job, Honda. Thanks for listening to customers and come up with such a nice car for the price.

Coolest Hatch on the market - 2017 Honda Civic
By Dylan Drudge - September 21 - 12:33 pmThe stock tires and headlights are garbage ! But the rest of the car is amazing Im 6 3" and this car has tons of space. Its crash test rating is through the roof, its 0-60 is ~6.8 seconds which is faster than most cars. Its passing ability is awesome with the turbo ! Really fun and peppy car to drive. I test drove the impreza, mazda 3 , and golf , and this car was definitely the most bang for your buck. the only quells are again the stock all - seasons are terrible in the snow, and the headlights arent very bright. but the daytime running LEDs are really pretty. Ive gotten so many compliments on the look of this car. If you get this car get the sport package the exhaust sounds awesome at high rpms but still keeps quiet at low speeds and not to mention those 18" wheels are so sexy.

Really Fun to Drive - 2017 Honda Civic
By Andrew Armstrong - August 8 - 8:27 pmI forgot how much fun it was to drive a manual transmission. It handles and drives beautifully. I averaged 47 mpg (according to the trip computer) both ways on a recent trip. The keyless entry and start its really nice. The electronic parking brake does take some getting used to though.

Love the new Civic Sport Touring Hatchback!! - 2017 Honda Civic
By Ken S - July 4 - 1:18 amThe 540 watt stereo is awesome!! My old Civic Coupe (2009) had a very good premium stereo but this is waaaaay better! The turbo makes this car very quick. Imagine my surprise to find out this was on a tank of regular unleaded gas. Premium gives the car another 2-3 HP. Not sure I need that but it will be fun to try it out! I had my doubts about the CVT transmission but its quite smooth and enjoyable. Purists will tell you they have to have a manual transmission to get the best performance. Pish posh! This car is fantastic without it. Had to wait to get the first blue one in Oregon but well worth the wait. The heated leather seats are great when its cold and should eliminate the problem of getting dog hair off the seats that I have with my old Civic. I will take me a while to get all of it off so I can put it on the market.

BIG GUY Stepped DOWN from a 2017 TOURING ACCORD - 2017 Honda Civic
By Too Many Hondas !! - July 3 - 2:08 pmI ve had more HONDAS thru the years than a NORMAL person would mention....This is for newly retired folks with a 16 Odessy SE for People moving..If you want overall bang for your buck value wise..and use modern smart phone GPS apps...get an Accord Sport !! In the week weve had our SONIC GREY CIVIC TOURING HB..here are my impressions...WORST FEATURE ....CIVIC HORNS literally BLOW !! They are SO WEAK and ineffective they will put you in the GRAVEYARD IF YOU EVER NEED TO BE HEAD !!! Cmon HONDA WTF !! As I said I walked out of Accord touring V6 to Civic Touring...a step Down but not a big one...all the whistles and bells..Nice 560 watts entertainment system...Engine CVT and real world performance is very nice...Hot Summer right now..A/C is very good but NOT GREAT..HANDLES very nice..definitely hear tire noise vs Accord but time will tell..EVERYTIME youre out on the HIGHWAY someone whats to play JOHNNY BOY RACER and drive like an AHOLE...Last time I had this game being played was with Mustang...Build quality fit and finish PAINT seem GOOD...No reason not to get 40 plus on road at highway speed...I THINK YOU COULD RUN IT LIKE YA STOLE IT ALL DAY LONG AND GET 20 plus...have used PADDLE shifters on other Hondas...likeable feature...PREMIUM GAS RECOMMENDED...mix it up every other or third tank should be fine..Im a BIG DUDE and I fit in drivers AOK...pass front OK...back FOGETABOUTIT..Wife likes the MINI COOPERS...so part of the puzzle in purchase....If you can keep your foot off the gas and make smooth driving you can get AMAZING mileage with V6 sedan..non touring..have gotten 40 plus and Hi thirties when highway driving with the rat pack...I think this will be a welcome addition to the stable...THE EXT SEDAN and EX HB are very nice but several grand less...PS ACCORD INSURANCE is LESS than CIVICS....look before you leap !! A veering of the road opinion but these are initial observations....PS Wife likes mucho PSS more blind spots than Accord also..PSSS the 1.5 turbo will go in the Honda hall of fame....

Nice car for the money - 2017 Honda Civic
By Michael Turner - June 27 - 6:18 pmConsider upgrading to leather seats for the adjustability. In our experience Honda leather seats look like [non-permissible content removed] after about 6 years. I like cloth seats so I opted for the ex, but after a month in the car I wish I had more adjustments on the drivers seats. Other than the seat issue I like the combination of nice features and the lower cost of the ex model. Looked closely at Mazda 3 and Subaru empreza. Ruled out impreza, similar equipped Subaru cost more, did not need or want all wheel drive. Mazda was close second and nice car for the money but the closest dealer was just a Hassle to get to and the Honda had more zip from the turbo charged motor.
