  Cant complain too much - 1996 Honda Civic

  So far so good, Had to take into the shop for muffler work and a problem with the intake, but besides that it been a good little car. 96000 miles and still runs great, only problem is that it does hesitate when pushing the gas to merge. Can be scary at times. Looks great on the outside and the inside is not bad. Fun car. Hopefully it will treat me good, and still has a decent resale value.

  Over the past 6 months I had this car it drives nearly flawless in every way. Of course since it was used I had to do some minor repairs(New battery, realign rear bumper, swap lightbulbs) To this day I am still very pleased with this car.

  CV joints going bad, muffler rusted out at the axle (seems very common on civics), clutch is wearing out(prior driver possibly). My biggest complaint is that it has hesitated for almost a year with no check engine light. Its been in the shop numerous times with no luck. Not very pleased with the "Honda quality". Will be buying Toyota next round.

  I drove this vehicle for 33,000 miles without any complaints. Great gas mileage, sporty feel, and fun to drive. I recomment the civic to anyone on a budget.

  I bought my EX new in 96 and have had no problems -- just usual maintenance -- new battery, oil change and brakes. I just assume that this car is going to run and it does. Now that Im 50, I feel like I need something more expensive and a bit more comportable --but its really hard to give this car up. Ive even detailed it last year and it looks amazing -- the black paint has held up really well. I keep looking at Mercedes, but when I hear the problems that my friends have with theirs -- I realize that I got a great deal by buying this car. It still looks and acts new.

  Great car. Gets great mileage even when I beat on it. Took out the rear interior and ran a 17.4 on bald street tires at Bristol Motor Dragway. Paint was crappy from previous owner but it was repainted after hail damage and looks great.

  theres a lot to say about this car, i bought this car to make it like 2 fast 2 furious and its beautiful. easy to fix up after market parts are easy to find. exterior styling and beautiful, performance is good but could be better and intererior is great. the car runs great and is reliable and is a beautiful car to drive ladies love it also ).

  In my opinion the Civic is my favorite car in the world. Okay, so it doesnt have the horses or it doesnt have that stylish look compared to the new generation... but performance wise, the Civic can match the rest. Not to mention the great gas mileage it produces. I am very pleased with my Civic.

  The silver lining - 1996 Honda Civic

  My 1998 Chevy Prizm was recently totaled and I found a 1996 Civic EX to replace it. Turns out this car is a vast, vast improvement, and its the silver lining to having a wreck and having to go car shopping on short notice. Even though its two years older than my other car, it runs much better, is tighter, and more comfortable for me (at 64") to drive. Also after looking at some more recent Civics, I like this older body style better - I think theyre getting more generic at time progreses.

  Great Car! - 1996 Honda Civic

  I have only 90k miles. I have had no problems at all. The reason I gave it a 10 in every catagory is for the price and the catagory it is absolutly the best. I have had 8 different cars during the time I have had the Civic. I will always have a Civic (my 6th one). Almost eveyone of my friends have Civics. Two of them have over 200k with no problems! One just changed the first CV at 210k miles.
