This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Honda CR-V is completely redesigned. It hasn't grown in size, power or seating capacity, but thanks to Honda's attention to detail, this small SUV is way up in practicality and refinement.

Pros:
  • Thoughtfully designed cabin with numerous family-friendly touches, high-quality interior materials, comfortable and quiet ride, agile handling.
Cons:
  • Could use more power for passing at highway speeds.

  • I love my CRV - 2007 Honda CR-V

I bought this vehicle after I totaled my Pontiac Grand Prix. I did some review but not much on the CRV. I really was looking for a 6CYL not a 4CYL. I was in a training class and driving this beater around when I walked in to Honda. I test drove it and purchased it that day. It saved my life in 11/2007 on Thanksgiving when I hit a deer on a highway going 65MPH. I was pregnant at the time. Everyone was safe but shaken up. I was able to drive home from that accident. The car was repaired and looks completely new. I drive 68 miles a day to/from work. I get 23-25mpg depending on how aggressive I drive.

  • CR-V Rocks! - 2007 Honda CR-V

Space, size, and gas mileage! Wow! I get a whopping 28MPG in mixed city/ hwy driving! This SUV is smart, sexy, and smooth. Love the XM radio. My first Honda and I am sure not my last!

  • Needs more power - 2007 Honda CR-V

I must say that over all I am happy with the CRV. It is the first SUV my wife and I have owned. The cargo space is great and rear seats are easy to fold down. I did have to replace the tires at about 25,000 miles, but my main complaint is the lack of power. I wish Honda would put the 4 cylinder engine from the Acura TSX in this car.

  • Stupid 2nd Row Seat - 2007 Honda CR-V

At first, I liked my CR-V, but as time went by, I dont like it anymore. Poor gas mileage and the noise from the engine is so annoying every time I accelerate. By the way, who designed the 2nd row seat? I thought they are folded and flat like the other SUVs, but they are not. They just tumbles and should be hung by a hook. I cant deliver a long item like a bookshelf, etc. The exterior design is so boring. It was O.K. first, but now it seems like its just too plain. Seems like have seen it before somewhere.

  • First Honda - 2007 Honda CR-V

Our Honda now has 53k and is over two years old. I dont understand the reviews stating poor performance. Ours has plenty of pickup. This isnt supposed to be a sports car. For the purpose of design, its hard to beat. The CRV would not get 30mpg with a V6. Better mileage than a Subaru Outback. The gearing is so good that power levels remain more than adequate. Im an ex-race car driver/ power enthusiast. The front brakes rattle on our dirt road. Rear pads needed replacing at 35k, tolerances too close causing corrosion and sticking with winter driving. Dont like center console. Front brakes still factory and otherwise, oil and filters only. Good snow performance with four studded winters.

  • LOVING MY 07 CRV - 2007 Honda CR-V

I’ve only owned my 07 CRV for 4 full days and so far I am loving it. With 166 hp, it’s not a car for speedsters, so if you’re hoping to buy a fast car, stick to vehicles with V6 engines. What the CRV lacks in power, it more than makes up with its standard safety features such as ABS, VSA with traction control, EBD, TPMS to name a few. Many have written that the ride is very rough. When driving on uneven roads full of potholes or covered with rough surface, any car will feel the same way. I am not too crazy about the manually operated driver’s seat height adjustment and the limited choice of colors. Overall though, it was sure worth the wait and the price wasnt that bad.

  • My wife loves it, I think its ok. - 2007 Honda CR-V

We purchased the 2007 model in 2006. It was between the RAV4 and the CRV. We chose the CRV and the 4WD for the snow. We had a big snow storm the first year and it did as good as my Toyota T100 4x4 truck. We had the rear Diff problem and had it replaced, got free 100k 7 year warrant for our trouble (and the fact that the dealer didnt believe us the diff was grinding). We now have about 45k miles on it, the tires are still ok, one is making noise probably the one that ran over an nail and was repaired. It seems the seats were wearing out quick at first, but seem ok. We got the big rubber Honda floor mats that really do keep the car clean. So far so good, after over 2 years, we love it.

  • This Will Be My Last Honda!!! - 2007 Honda CR-V

We have about 65 kms on it. First off paint quality is garbage, the hatch has been repainted once already because of rust around the license plate trim. The car is full of rock chips, my sisters 05 Civic had the same paint issues! Had the rear diff fluid changed 3 times at 3 diff Honda dealerships as a precautionary service. They refuse to admit there is a problem. RIDICULOUS!! Still makes a noise! Rear pads and rotors replaced at 45kms! Sometimes the car wont even crank over on the first try. My 94 Accord winter beater has 300kms and has never had any serious issues. Honda better wake up and do something fast because they are losing very loyal customers. They lost us!! Time for a Subaru.

  • I love this car! - 2007 Honda CR-V

I dont spend a lot of time on the road, but when I drive, I love to drive this SUV. It handles like a car, and is easy to get in and out of tight spaces. Internal cargo space is good, with enough seating flexibility to carry larger items. It gets good mileage, and has enough power under the hood for all driving needs. The seating area is flexible and comfortable. Over all, I am extremely satisfied with my Honda CR-V, and I know I will get years of reliable performance from it.

  • So far its great!! - 2007 Honda CR-V

I replaced my Subaru Outback with the Honda because I wanted more interior room but wanted to maintain good gas mileage. I was concerned about how the Honda would handle in bad weather (the Subaru was excellent). I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised. The Honda is very surefooted in the worst of weather. The interior is very roomy and the car is beautiful to look at. Overall, I am very pleased.
