This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Honda CR-V is completely redesigned. It hasn't grown in size, power or seating capacity, but thanks to Honda's attention to detail, this small SUV is way up in practicality and refinement.

Pros:
  • Thoughtfully designed cabin with numerous family-friendly touches, high-quality interior materials, comfortable and quiet ride, agile handling.
Cons:
  • Could use more power for passing at highway speeds.

  • Love this Car! - 2007 Honda CR-V

I had a 97 CRV and I really liked it a lot. When the new version came out, I was stunned at how beautiful it was. Nonetheless, I had to shop around, because thatd be crazy to buy the same car again. After looking at everything else on the market, I went back to the 07 CRV and bought it! I couldnt be happier. I love it! (And The green tea color is gorgeous!)

Great SUV, very happy with design, comfort and engine. Honda has set a high bar for a small SUV, you cant beat the price ($22,890) and quality in my view.

  • Never again! - 2007 Honda CR-V

I had a 2004 Honda CR-V, loved it, but it rode rough. Bought a 2007 and it was a much better ride, but I have had problems with it. Initially I was having problems with it starting. The worst thing is it keeps wearing the tires out. I was told by Honda it was in the rear differential. I am on my 3rd set of tires at 50, 000 miles. Hondas solution---pay them almost $1,000 for new tires. The main customer service representative was very rude and discourteous. I will never buy another Honda car and will never recommend it to any of my friends again.

Great vehicle. Always thought CR-V was a good vehicle, but felt the styling on the old ones were a little bit to unrefined for someone my age (mid 40s). Good power for a 4 cylinder. Fuel efficiency has not been as good as claimed (i average 25 mpg and I do about 50/50 highway/city driving). No other vehicle in this class is as practical and as good a value. Similarly equipped RAV4 would have cost me 26,000 as opposed to 23,000. Sure the Rav4 offers V6 and 3rd row seating, but why would anyone look for those things in a small SUV??? and a Rav4 equipped with those things exceeds 30,000(you can get a larger midsize SUV for that price, such as the Honda Pilot)

Less than 10,000 miles I had to to have the rear differential worked on twice, had to replace tire pressure and master tire pressure sensors at this time, the back Windows squeak like finger nails on a chark board when rolling down, the rear hatch has to be slammed shut, causing the plastic cover above the license plate to fall off, the brakes didnt even last up to 20,000 miles, I am now on my second set of pads, I can not drive at a steady speed between the shifts of the because the car vibrates, sensor that has controls the cooling fan had to be replaced, the plastic splash gaurd under to car came apart, the drivers seat is already wearing down, sad to say but I hate to drive this car - dont buy one.

My wife and I have owned our CR-V for over 2 years and couldnt be happier. Its perfect for running errands around town and can handle just about any New England snow storm. The gas mileage is great 22/city, 30 highway but the trade-off is less power that is most noticeable on the highway. If youre more concerned with 0-60 then you want to look elsewhere. But if youre looking for a small SUV thats priced well, gets good gas mileage and can lug around big pieces of furniture when called upon, you cant really beat this one.

  • So Disappointed!! - 2007 Honda CR-V

My car has 65K miles on it and it wont start. The dealer is telling me that it needs a new engine!!! I had a Honda Civic before this and never any problems. I am so upset. The warranty only covers up to 60K miles, so I am just over. I made a complaint with Honda and we will see what happens. But, buyer beware... only 60K miles on the engine and mine died at 65K. I am still in shock and I have a $16K loan to deal with now.

The CR-V always impresses us with its practicality and ease of use. The cargo area will easily swallow 3 full size bikes or a lawn mower. It gets impressive gas mileage, without sacrificing power or size. The CR-V will hold five people in comfort. It is also nice to drive and gets the highest possible crash test ratings. The only complaint I have is that a V6 version or some other higher power version would be nice. I think the Subaru Forester is a better vehicle, but it isnt as roomy.

We were looking for a luxury SUV that was elegant on the inside and out, and one that was affordable with all the options. We looked at more expensive SUVs including Volvo XC 90, Lexus ES 330, and others, but nothing compared with the price.
