  • A very good buy - 2012 Honda Accord

I purchased a 2011 accord coupe (2.4 L, auto, EX model) last year and about a month ago I had a straight-on T-bone collision at 50mph with a guy who pulled out in front of me which totaled my car. The accord saved my life and from the pictures of the scene of the crash it was unbelievable that I walked away with just a bruise and small burn. I loved that car and every aspect of it so without hesitation I purchased the 2012 accord coupe to replace it, this time the EX-L model. Though there really wasnt any changes between model years, it is still just as spectacular as my previous one with a few bonuses in the EX to EX-L upgrade.

  • Severe Road Noise - 2012 Honda Accord

I bought a brand new Accord LX-S Coupe thinking I was getting a quality car as advertised. I previously owned a 2001 Accord Ex Coupe and loved it. It didn’t have any of these issues on the 2001, it came with a V6, sunroof leather seats and no sound issues at all for the same price. This car has SEVERE road noise over 45mph and cement roads are beyond belief. The dealer wants to sell me a more expensive model Honda wont do anything and seems to state what I bought is a cheap car and i should expect the noise @ a $25k sticker price??? When you have the gas tank 3/4 full you can hear the gas splashing, the tire noise is so bad i have to blast the radio just to keep from going nuts.

  • Another Great Honda - 2012 Honda Accord

Ive had many Honda vehicles in my life including several motorcycles, the Ridgeline, an S2000, a Civic hybrid and now this Accord. Its safe to say Im a fan but I write this objectively in order to hopefully provide feedback for prospective buyers. I was able to get into this fully loaded Accord and I couldnt be happier (I also intend to update throughout ownership). It feels as solidly built as any other Honda vehicle I have had, the previous best being my 06 Interceptor with the Ridgeline a close second. It is definitely the most advanced. It will be a while before I absorb the functionality of all the systems. Spectacular first impressions.

  • Five Month Update - 2012 Honda Accord

Still running great. No problems. Have 5k miles now. Glad we bought it. Still only 25 mpg though - kind of dissapointed with gas mileage. Have gotten use to firm seats. Havent had it on a long road trip yet.

  • read the long term reliability reviews!! - 2012 Honda Accord

Dont make the same mistake I did and read the long term reliability consumer reports. The car is GREAT for the first few months (2-3k) and then problems start... I can only speak for my dealer (Sam Swope Honda World) which treated me like I was crazy for reporting a shimmy wheel issue and they werent able to resolve the problem but if you read the Edmunds online forums youll see many similar issues with Accords. I wish Id read all these before deciding to purchase this car.

  • First Month of Ownership - 2012 Honda Accord

Great family car! It is full size and fits our family of four perfectly. Weve logged 2500 miles so far. MPG mixed is 25 and highway trips have been 30. Havent seen the rated 34 yet. Seats are firm and you have to find comfortable position for driving. The electric drivers seat in the EX model helps to locate the comfortable position. Lower back can hurt and butt goes numb sometimes. Plenty of room inside and a huge trunk. Pretty quiet on the road, although you can hear road noise. Bought it for Honda reliability.

  • Trunk is leaking - 2012 Honda Accord
    By -

My car is two month old, 5000 miles, so far I have water leak in the trunk during rain (brand new car) and some strange clinking noise when I drive on not so smooth road. I had some strange noises in my Toyota Camry 2006 too, but I was able to drive over 200k miles with that car without problem doing just regular service, may be my new Accord will last same number of miles also without problems… Who knows? I hope my dealer will figure out (eventualy) what is wrong with my car’s trunk and Honda warranty will pay for repairs.

  • Smart Purchase - 2012 Honda Accord

The 2012 Accord is a very nice vehicle to drive and own. The value for the quality is excellent. After looking at several models in this class and the luxury class I decided to buy the Accord. The EX-L V-6 gets great mileage for the size engine and still has enough get up and go. If you are looking for excellent build quality and getting all the upgrades dont waste $10,000 on buying a name like Acura (chosen because it is a Honda). The upgrades are much better value on this model. You will be happy with this vehicle.

  • what a mistake - 2012 Honda Accord

We finally decided to replace my wifes 2001 Camry she always wanted a Honda and took standard 10 minute tes drive she loved it. We picked up the vehicle and after her driving back to work she stated to get extreme back pains which is caused by built in seat restraints, after numerous of dealing with dealership we went to Hond direct and they said nothing they could do and to get rid of car or live with it who wants to take that kind of financial hit so buyer beware make sure take long test ride is this vehicle.
