I have the 2012 accord SE for 2 years . I lease it after my 2002 Mercedes c class took water in the engine in a rain storm and was total. the car is very good for me . it doesnt drive like Mercedes but I was not expecting that . so far zero problems . it is roomy and easy to drive . very good visibility from all sides . very good for driving in long trips . I have no problem with the drivers seat but my wife said that the passenger seat is not as comfortable so she use a special seat pillow. I do about 31 mpg in long trips but incite city driving mpg is not very good average about 15mpg

After owning two previous Accords I can say this will be my last. Having been very satisfied with a 98 sedan 5 speed and an 05 coupe 6-speed I can honestly say Im very disappointed with this 12 6-speed. My expectations of a 6 cyl. 6 speed "sports" car are not even close to aligning with this vehicle, the only performance upgrade is the motor and gearing, which result in a 6 mpg loss with comparable driving. If youre not quite as concerned in performance and decent gas mileage this car is comfortable for long road trips and has a fairly large backseat for a coupe. Also an excellent looking car in my opinion if Honda had oriented it more towards its Prelude roots I would be very pleased.

The 2012 Honda Accord LX is your typical Honda with slight improvements. This is the 4th Honda I have driven (different generations) and probably one of the best ones. One of the immediate noticeable differences is the road noise. It is greatly reduced, however, still noticeable, just not as noticeable as your typical Honda (barring the 2012 Honda CRV, which has very low road noise). The 5 speed automatic transmission is very smooth and responsive, plus great gas mileage. Im averaging approximately 30 miles per gallon with 60% highway/40% city driving. Handling is much more responsive and tighter than the 2012 Toyota Camry LE (which I drove for 3 months prior).

  • Horrible drivers seat - 2012 Honda Accord
    By -

I love everything about this car...except the drivers seat. I have had this car for 6 months now and I am in terrible pain because of the seat. My job requires me to commute 1hr each day and I never look forward to this because I know how much pain I will be in when I get out of my car. Im not sure if the problem is the seat itself or the headrest. Because the headrest is on an angle, I find myself hunched over when I put my head back. I really wish Honda could find a solution to this problem because that is the only bad thing about this car.

  • Back Problems - 2012 Honda Accord
    By -

Since I bought my Accord at the end of February, I have had lower back problems for the first time in my life. I have had to take a leave of absence to undergo epidural steroid injections. It wasnt until a recent long trip that I made the connection, When it was my turn to drive any lengthy amount of time, the pain returned just the same as the first case of back trouble. I cant go through this pain again and have nothing else to drive. Contacted Honda....we will see.

  • The most uncomfortable seats - 2012 Honda Accord
    By -

This car has the most uncomfortable seats of anything that we ever tried. Our short test drive wasnt enough to set the alarm, but my wife commutes 140 miles a day and after the first day complained about very uncomfortable seats. After two weeks of driving my wife couldn’t take it any more with severe back pain, so I started suffering in this brand new Accord. I tried every combination of settings of this power seat, but no matter what I did there was annoying hump sticking out above the lumbar area. When driving for more than just a few miles you cant stop switching position in search for a more comfortable one. I’m 5’11” 170 lb, and my wife is 5’5” 130 lb so we don’t carry extra weight.

  • Nice - 2012 Honda Accord

I respect Edmunds points on the Sonata and the Optima, but this years Accord is a safe bet. I like the fact that it has been in production for years, and hondas have a good track record. Had an 03 until 130k when its started drinking oil. Drove the others, but bottom line I got a super car...got 7 accessories thrown in like ambient lighting, splash guards et al to make a base line really nice. I have always liked honda service as well. the 2012 may be one to scoop up before they change them for 13. My 2 cents, good luck.

  • Good quality, so so interior...love the manual - 2012 Honda Accord
    By -

Since most cars in this size and price range are automatics and I wanted a manual, this was the car. The seats arent too great though and it lacks basic options that most LX sedans would have like outside temp and gas mileage reading and maybe auto headlight settings. The manual is smooth as silk although the acceleration is poor. Once you are up and running on the the highway, the car performs nicely and handles good overall. I leased it and its a good value so I may buy at the end of lease and sell on my own to make some money. Its not a keeper but good enough for now with Honda reliablility.
