Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Good car but still has error. - 2014 Honda Accord

I bought my 2014 Accord 2.4 EX-L one and a half month ago. The first time, due to I just moved to Georgia, they denied to give me a road test with another states driver license. The first time when I received it, it was a good car. But after 3 weeks, the Forward Collision Warning poped up random while nothing in front of my car and the camera was clear. I took it to Honda Service for 4 times about this problem. They told me that they checked everything and nothing wrong. When I drove the car home, it happened again and they told that it was weird situation. I need to bring it many weeks to check this problem, but nothing solved. The other problem is about the noise from the windows.

  • Definitely worth the money - 1997 Honda Accord

Bought the car from another college student. Already gone on multiple long road trips(100 miles or more one way), and it just keeps on plugging along at 250,000 miles. I drive 80 miles a day round trip on the freeway, and its done very well. 28 mpg average. Only problem is that these cars are supposed to have 17 gallon gas tanks, but when the needle is on empty, mine only takes 13. Not a major issue though. Definitely worth the 1000 dollars I paid for it.

I have the 2012 accord SE for 2 years . I lease it after my 2002 Mercedes c class took water in the engine in a rain storm and was total. the car is very good for me . it doesnt drive like Mercedes but I was not expecting that . so far zero problems . it is roomy and easy to drive . very good visibility from all sides . very good for driving in long trips . I have no problem with the drivers seat but my wife said that the passenger seat is not as comfortable so she use a special seat pillow. I do about 31 mpg in long trips but incite city driving mpg is not very good average about 15mpg

  • 2011 Honda Accord LX- Noisy on the road - 2011 Honda Accord

This car ought to be awesome. The only issue with it is the road noise. When running still no noise but once you start driving, the engine is really loud which takes the fun away.

  • Buyer beware: The uncomfortable drivers seat should be recalled!!! - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

I test drove my new Accord for a few miles and everything felt fine. I immediately felt lower back pain when driving the car home from the dealer. After making daily adjustments to the seat, and trying different seat cushions and lumbar supports, I came to the disappointing conclusion Ill never be able to comfortably drive this car. The drivers seat should be recalled to address the following issues: 1. The metal plate in the lower seat back stabs into my back causing debilitating pain after a 15 minute ride. 2. The active head restraints lean too far forward causing severe discomfort on my neck and back. 3. The seats are far too firm, like sitting on cinder blocks.

  • Make sure you customize sound settings! Great Car! - 2014 Honda Accord

For $19.3k I think I got a terrific manual Accord. But only 600 miles so far, cant speak to reliability. I preferred the Accords manual stick to the Mazda 6 manual stick. I swapped OEM tires out for Continental PureContact Eco Plus and was surprised at improved handling and even quieter ride. Much quieter ride than the Mazda 6. This is important to me, I like handling but low profile tires are a liability in the NE with its potholes. And the handling is plenty great with 16" rims.

  • Still love it! - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought 7/2010 for mechanical reliability, thats what Ive gotten so far. Not a single problem there, not even a funny noise. Snappy, responsive engine handles firm and tight. Good visibility compared to others in category. Great family car, roomy backseat/huge trunk. Fantastic sound system but totally unusable at freeway speeds due to Hondas legendary high level of road noise transmission. Also dont like: headlights weak in intensity and range seat comfort = meh no fuel economy data readout headrests from hell (but other brands worse) steering-wheel wrap turning color ever so slightly, developing a dark purplish cast to the original charcoal -- but only I can see it apparently.

  • First 10k miles disappoints former loyal Honda consumer - 2014 Honda Accord

My 4th Accord LX (89, 96,01 my fiancée had the 11 EX-L my mom had a CR-V and now owns the 13 Odyssey)! Without trying to sound too unforgiving, Honda has finally lost my complete attention. This harsh review stems from two issues. Interiors cheaply built in general, need far better craftsmanship, durability & quality. Competitors, like VW offer way better feel, textures, and look (my 135 lb fiancees 11 leather armrest & seat wore out torn by 40k my 14 has a hole in driver floor mat from only 2500 miles, now big enough to fit an apple to a hole in the interior floor carpeting. Thankful, owning more than 30+ cars on none had this ever happened. Highly regret not getting a Passat :(

  • 2008 Honda Accord EX-L 4cyl 5-speed manual - 2008 Honda Accord

I bought this car two years ago used with 71,000 miles. - Avg 25 mpg good for its time and size car. - I have not warmed up to the VTEC engine, all the power up top is great for a performance car, not so great for a family car. The car has three definitive power curves, 1000-3500 rpm for tooling around, 3500-5000 rpm for brisk acceleration like a freeway on ramp, then 5000-7200 rpm for all out pull. For what it is, in that top rev range, it has great power but waiting to get there is tiresome. - The car rides great and its obvious this car is well balanced for the front driver, but get in a curve with uneven pavement and you find the damping to be too soft and the car pitch uncontrol
