Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great running BUT - 2004 Honda Accord

The paint and the interior leather and trim have held up very. Dry poorly. Paint was horrible after 5 years!

  • The worst car I ever bought - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car for 19,500 (including taxes and fees) on the road (2008 accord LX 5AT). So make sure you get the best bargain. Dont buy this car if you dont have to. I test drove Toyota Camry also. That is not any better - lack of power. The drive feels like I am driving a U- Haul truck. I just hate this car.

  • Worst Honda Ive ever owned. - 2015 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 3rd Honda and by far the worst. Loud air conditioning whistling when its hot outside. Fan replaced but did not correct the problem. Hard vibration when stopped and in drive. Dealer claimed it was due to a broken engine & transmission mount, which was replaced. This did not correct the problem. It is worse than ever and now Im being blown off by the service department because they cant figure it out. Check fuel cap light and check tire light comes on frequently and goes off by itself. Im furious that I bought this car ( new ) . Getting ready to start a Lemon Law Claim.

  • more time in the shop than on the road - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

They got me! Yep I got suckered in by the hype of hondas being super reliable. Ive had the car a total of six months and its been in the shop more than its been on the road. Transmission problems, ac doesnt cool, numerous electrical problems and the engine developed a loud ticking noise after two months driving. I wish I never bought this car.

  • Honda Accord, Poor choice - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Ride is uncomfortable. Dangerously pulls to the right, either not aligned properly or there is a manufacturing defect, gas mileage is less than I got on a Buick LeSabre. Very disappointed in this car. Would not recommend it to anyone.

  • Too Much Mechanical and Rust Problems - 1995 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchase the Accord expecting a better experience than the Civic I owned. I was so dissappointed with this car after having numerous problems under warranty period. These are some of the problems with the car: ABS fails repeatedly (ABS lights up), window rolls up and down slowly, AC is never cold and warm/hot air is always comming out of the vents when the AC is off, Automatic shift lever keeps locking up in Park position, ignition key gets stuck, odometer gets stuck, engine idles very rough like an old diesel truck (it shakes and vibrates), and repeated rusting on back fenders which honda wont cover after 5 years if the rust reoccurs (and it does). More problems but Im out of space!

  • A great car with a poor driver seat - 2016 Honda Accord
    By -

The driver seat takes out all the pleasure of driving this beautiful car. A 30 mins drive will cause severe back / leg pain.

  • Thanks for nothing - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

I was looking for a reliable car for commuting purposes that I could put a decent amount of miles on without having to invest a big chunk of change into some major repairs a few years down the road. I decided to go with supposed "head of the" class when it comes to reliability. Sure enough, less than 4 years and 130K into into my transmission falls apart and they want me to stick another $5000 into a replacement. The jerks tried to blame me because I only changed the fluid once a year at every 40,000 miles, when the truth is the failure was caused by a terrible design that they openly admitted to by extending the warranty to 100K miles. OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES HONDA!!

  • DO NOT BUY (unless you like a vibrating gas pedal) - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Worst powertrain design ever. At 1800 rpm, VCM kicks on and makes the accelerator and cabin vibrate. Its dreadful. I test drove two and both had same issue. Left a deposit on one and had phenomenal deal but just hated the VCM vibration. Car goes from 3 cyl to 6 cyl and back all the time and not just at highway speeds. We own an 11 V6 and do not have these issues. The 9th gen V6 automatics are royally screwed. Read the reviews. Owners are complaining and some have tried to lemon law. Consumer Reports also does NOT recommend the 2013 V6. Take their advice and save yourself reliability issues down the road. Its a bad design. Honda takes no accountability.
