Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Worst Accord Ever according to my mechanic - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

I had this car some years ago, the V6 model was a bad one for them. I think they made the engine too big for the transmission or something like that. Beyond that, there were a bunch of electronic problems. I think the 98-02 model was just bad for the V6 automatics, I cant speak for the 4 cylinders.

  • So Uncomfortable . . and Dirty! - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive had my car for just over a year. I love the way this car performs. Its smooth, quiet, peppy, gets great gas mileage, and is and good looking. BUT Im a 52" female and cannot get comfortable in the front seat! Its hard yet has absolutely no lumbar or side support. Ive tried every imaginable configuration including bringing pillows from my house. Body fatigue sets in after only a half hour of driving. Also, the fabric on the seats is horrible. It shows every bit of dirt. Its entirely unforgiving and although Ive only had my car for a year the front seats are very dirty. Ive tried washing them with upholstery shampoo but theyre still dirty. The door handle is another problem some genius at Honda decided to put cloth on it! So youre grabbing cloth (beige in my case) every time you open the door.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE MY HONDA!!! - 2013 Honda Accord

I bought my 2013 accord about 2 months ago pretty much brand new!!! it was a rental with only about 9k miles!!! so take my review into consideration knowing I am a picky ass 20 year old female! i love everything about the car! I fall more in love with it all the time. I sometimes get 38.5 mpg!! the radio & entertainment is very user friendly & safe to use while driving! & dual climate control is my best friend. very roomy full sized car, could fit 2 car seats very nicely in the back maybe even three! I love that it is a full size car (good for family!!) but still has a very nice sporty look!!! I find it to be very comfortable, not to mention the back up camera is a life saver! Ive experienced no problems & have no complaints. wouldnt trade my car for the world & would recommend to ANYONE!!! :)))

  • Rough Rider - 2015 Honda Accord
    By -

This is an addition to an earlier review. Bought this 2015 LX in August. I had a 1994,1998 and a 2003 LX and they all rode better then the 2015. You feel every bump in the rode and you feel like a cork bobbing in the ocean. I later found out that Honda replaced their famous wishbone suspension with McPherson Struts(Cheaper) which maybe contributed to the very firm and rough ride. Also the front driver and passenger seats are very uncomfortable, we are using seat pads to give us some comfort but seat backs are hard ( will have to find something to put there to help my back) Rode or tire noise excessive(Thought windows were opened) overall very disappointed in this car, Loved my 94 98 and 03 and based my purchase on the 2015 on those 3 cars. I have no idea how Consumer reports rates this car so high. I will be looking at a Ford Fusion or Toyota Camry soon. Oh by the way mileage is good.

  • Thanks for saving my life :). - 2002 Honda Accord

Im greatful for the desig of this car. I got in a very serious accident and was lucky to survive. Im glad my car was built the way it was! Ive had this car for three years till this accident and no major issues! I did have to do one repair from the get-go, but thats because I got it as a remade car. Have loved my car!

  • Great car if you get a 6speed - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

The 2013 Accord is a great car for the money. Lots of interior room for a family of 4. The ride is great and the steering is very responsive. The suspension is likely more stiff than a malibu, impala, or other similar American cars although it feels very tight and performance oriented. I have yet to experience any problems after 2 months of driving. I purchased mine with 19k miles. I would highly recommend getting the manual transmission as the CVT (in any car not just honda), is quite terrible. Many auto manufacturers have jumped on this CVT bandwagon to achieve exceptional mpg at the sacrifice of reliability, performance, and ride experience. I would not recommend a CVT in any car. They simply do not last, require costly maintenance when problematic, and have a horrible rubber band effect during swift acceleration or deceleration. The 6 speed in the 2013 Accord shifts like butter, and really brings out all 181 horses. Although its not much, this car revs very high and is great for highway/city driving (Ive gotten 36.5 mpg highway and average 27 in town with conservative driving 3k rpm shifts). Take this from someone who has had a zr1, 99 m3, multiple subaru WRXs, IS300 and 350, gs400 etc. The car is great. Its really a great car if you get the 6speed. If you can only find an auto, buy something else that offers a standard 5speed/6speed auto. Avoid any cars with CVT transmissions no matter who the auto manufacturer.

  • Best Car Ever Made - 1990 Honda Accord

This car has, on more than one occasion, saved my life and always kept running even when it seemed it was going to give up. Reliable and easy to fix.

  • Great for the long drive - 2015 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car five months ago. This is my first Honda after having driven five GM cars. I love it so far. I have put 10,000 miles on the car so far. I average 35-39 MPG and go an average of 500 miles on each tank of gas. I have hit up to 47 MPG on the interstate. The car is quiet and gives me no problems. I hope to have it for a long time to come.

  • Its a Honda - 2015 Honda Accord

I bought the 15 Sport in early July and took it on a tour of the North East for most of the month of August with my wife and daughter. Over all ride was comfortable with the drivers seat roomy for my 62 frame. Performance was great with 189 hp a noticeable jump from my old 05 accords 160hp. I found the CVT a bit jerky at a hard acceleration until 35mph or so. Its paddle shifting was fun going through the mountains. Excellent gas mileage with some tankfills averaging above 36. I will agree that the sound system could be better but it is adequate. I will say that when I picked the car up from the dealership, on the ride home down the interstate I felt the ride was a bit rough. When I got home I checked the tire pressures and they were over inflated. Next morning with cool tires I set the pressures per the recommendations and there was a noticeable improvement. If I get 282000 miles on this 15 like I did with my 05 with minimal maintenance I will be a happy camper.
