Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Never again - 2008 Honda Accord

At 96000 miles, I just put my 5th set of back brakes on the car! Honda tells me its the way I drive... Funny Im driving a Toyota for the last two years and the back brakes still need replacing... Other than a new battery at 3 years and problems with spiders and webs causing a sensor to break, front brakes x 1 and tires etc its been reliable that is if you dont mind replacing back brakes every year or two!

  • Bumpy, rough ride - 2015 Honda Accord
    By -

I have driven Accords/Acura TL since 1985. I like many things about this car, but I regret the purchase and will trade it in after a few years. Positives are power, little engine noise, and technology. I especially like the right sided camera. The downer is the terrible bumpy, rough ride. The slightest irregularities in the road are transmitted (? magnified) to the driver and passenger in a very unpleasant manner. This is not "good road feel". The car came with Goodyear tires, 17 inch wheels. The bumpy ride gives me the sensation that the tires are overinflated (they are not) or that the suspension is faulty). This is a fatal flaw for me in an otherwise excellent car. I cannot give the car 4 stars overall or for value when I do not like it and regret the purchase. My other Honda/Acura cars have been great, and I am not going to recommend another car. I just hope they fix this problem quickly.

  • Best car - 2005 Honda Accord

This car is definitely one Id buy all over again. I have hardly put any money into it since buying it 5.5 years ago. It had 95,000 miles when I bought it and now has over 180,000 miles on it. Other than several suspension work, its had zero maintenance. Worth your money! 35 mpg helps too! (On trips)

Just got the car with OTD $24,000. Impressed with this car. But Honda still has a lot of road noise.

  • BUYER BEWARE - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

Do not buy 2008-2010 Honda accords! There is a defect with the engine. You can read about it here http://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/lawsuit-news/1713-honda-accord-oil-defect-class-action-lawsuit/ I bought my car "gently" used 7 months ago and am having all of these issues. Honda was kind enough to replace my engine block, but all other damages and bills incurred BECAUSE of the initial issue with the engine fall back on me. Cause Im the sucker who purchased a vehicle from a "reputable" dealership, trusting that theyd put me in something SAFE and RELIABLE. I learned my lesson. Currently looking at trade in value of my vehicle. Will NEVER purchase Honda again.

  • My Last Car Was A BMW - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

Had the BMW for 13 years and loved the car, but the maintenance became an issue. Bought the 2014 Accord EX with 15,000 miles on it and have had it for 4-5 months now. Two road trips and daily use. Mileage on the road trips averaged 36...around town its less as one would expect. The car is more of an appliance than something which elicits emotions one way or the other. That said, it has some pleasant surprises which were unexpected. back up and the right turn cameras are very helpful. We hadnt experienced bluetooth before and like it a lot. Otherwise no real surprises. Things we like: Fit and finish is excellent. Its a bit spartan but everything is where it should be. Well designed and engineered in this respect. Good storage in the trunk and elsewhere. Carries two golf bags sideways which was a criteria. Large information screen for on-board functions. Love the two cameras. As a result, there are no blind spots. CVT transmission is great. I like the S drive function to help brake going down some of the hills and mountains nearby. Bluetooth is a good thing...plays music from my phone, telephone is hands free, and the navigation system on my phone talks to us through the radio. Keyless entry and starting function is great. Ive left my keys in the car while trying to lock it on several occasions, and it wont let me do so...which I appreciate. Hill stopper works great on the aforementioned hills and mountains. Minor Minuses Seats are a bit uncomfortable on long trips. More road noise than Im used to but less than my daughters CRV...can live with it easily. Acceleration is modest at best...but, at the end of the day, it does get up to speed without much fuss. The fold down rear seats dont fully recline. The trunk cavity into the passenger cabin is quite small.

  • honda seats still suck after all these years - 2015 Honda Accord
    By -

Owner 07/13&15 models exl leather. Great cars except for one major issue THE SEATS SUCK. How can honda consistently screw up such a basic feature ? Who the hell cares if the seats last two thousand years if you cant sit in the damn things for five miles without back ache ? I am amazed that with THOUSANDS of complaints online every year they do the same stupid thing year in and year out.....

  • extremely reliable - 2006 Honda Accord

I have owned 2 honda accords the current one is a 2006 six cylinder. My wife loves it she feels very safe driving it. She got rear ended in our first honda and walked away with out a scratch. I was totally impressed by that. Jim M

  • Huge car value itty bitty trunk opening - 2015 Honda Accord
    By -

Id like to give this model 5 stars, but there is one rather large problem: the Honda Accord has a nice BIG trunk but a tiny trunk opening. We cant get either of our ice chests into the trunk. We can put the chest into the back seat, but I dont know what people with kids in the back seat will do.

  • 168,000 miles and more to come - 1992 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my 1992 Honda Accord with 123,000 miles in February of 2012. It now has 168,000 miles and keeps on chugging. Surprisingly comfortable ride, easy visibility in front and back, peppy 4 cylinder motor, and decent gas mileage for its age. With a car of this age, its difficult to tell if problems are due to design flaws or previous owners. The dash light knob is touchy and you have to turn it just right to get the lights to stay on, a minor inconvenience. One of the rear seatbelts doesnt work, as if its stuck all the way out. The trunk leaks when it rains. Ive had the front drivers side floor board leak very occasionally, when it rains just right. A/C has never worked, although I had the retro fit kit put on it. Heater works good, car handles well in the snow, although even minor puddles cause a belt to squeal for a few seconds. I commute on a two lane, curvy road and the car handles beautifully. It has surprising get up and go for a 4 cylinder and I never worry about being able to pass slow cars. All the power windows work, as do the locks. Dash is in perfect shape. Clock works, all gauges work. No major repairs, did have to replace the main relay under the dash, inexpensive fix that was causing the car to not start again in hot weather shortly after being turned off. With regular maintenance, I expect this car to go another 100,000 miles. All in all, with diligent previous owner(s) who kept up maintenance and repairs, I would highly recommend this car.
