Overview & Reviews
The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.
- Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

You get everything you desired in a car - 2004 Acura TL
By danny - May 29 - 2:00 amThis is a dream car, I have researched many cars like BMW 325, Lexus IS/ES 300 /es330, Volvo S60 and Infinity. But I fall in love with this one. No regret, my friends and neighbor still looking at it in the parking lot, makes me worry a little

Bought one, done that! - 2004 Acura TL
By rosrea - May 29 - 2:00 amAs advertised. HOT, HOT, HOT! Do not particularly like the low profile tires because of the bumpy ride. Will change to normal tires and wheels when the low profiles wear out. Around town it is acceptable, but on an extended road trip the ride may get tiresome. Second and third gears are phenomenal. Glad it is a front wheel drive, because at 270 horsepower, rear wheel traction would be a problem. Interior appointments look great-great visuals and all buttons are withing easy reach. With all the technological upgrades, would recommend the extended warranty.

front wheel shake - 2004 Acura TL
By jvn - May 29 - 2:00 amGreat car. Handling first class but could do with a rear wheel drive instead. Very dissapointed with the vibration coming from the front at about 50 to 55 mph.Is this harmonics from the engine?Styling first rate but quality of assembly suspect. Do they have quality control?

I love this car! - 2004 Acura TL
By corene Myers - May 18 - 10:00 amI have only had this car since April, but we already have a love affair. It is a wonderful ride, its sporty, smooth and just a beautiful car, both in and outside. I get compliments on this car where ever I go, even at the traffic signals people tell me how beautiful the car is.

Great Car w/ Big Liability - 2004 Acura TL
By CRS - May 8 - 7:11 amThe body style is sleek, its fun to drive and comfortable. Over a few years developed too many vibrations and rattles for high end car. Biggest disappointment was Acura Corp. not backing my TL when the front right ball joint broke going 60 MPH in the center lane. Parts did not indicate failure. This was my second and last Acura. I feel that I cant put my family at risk with a company that will not admit they have a dangerous & critical design flaw with their wheel assembly and unwilling to back the consumer.

A worthy successor to the old TL - 2004 Acura TL
By Bobbo - April 23 - 10:00 amI upgraded to the 2004 TL from a 2002 TL (non-S) and have been amazed. Compared to the previous model, the interior is truly luxurious. The seats are firm but comfortable. Driving this car is much more fun than with the old model because of the increase in power and the improvement in ride control. In all, this car stands head and shoulders above the old model in looks, interior, and driving. Its my favorite car yet.

First on the block! - 2004 Acura TL
By mathvixen - April 23 - 10:00 amI was able to buy my TL the first day that they were available. I work at a community college where we train Honda mechanics. When I drove my car to work, I was surrounded by students enjoying the look of my new car. Many of them were going to be working for Honda. The car is as much fun to drive as it is too look at but the best surprise is the audio system.

A so-so product in a competitive segment - 2004 Acura TL
By regrets - April 17 - 2:00 amI traded in a 2000 BMW 330i coupe as I need a 4-door sedan. My original draw to the TL is the impacable specs(HP, torque, tires, fuel consumptions, etc), and the cool exterior. The car drives pretty good, better than most other Japanese cars(except the G35), but what kills this car for me is the excessive oversteer, probably due to the front wheel drive. The notchy gas pedal response doesnt help either. The suspension also cannot be really rated as sporty. The car starts to float at 80mph, and the steering response is really unsure during moderately-spirited manuvers.

Comment Needed - 2004 Acura TL
By Lawrence - April 17 - 1:06 amAfter reading a couple poor reviews I had to give my input. This is the best car I have ever owned. It is super quiet, fast, handles like it is glued to the road. The best sound system I have heard in a car. The quality is flawless. After reading a couple reviews I have to wonder if they are talking about the same car! When I was first driving it home all I could think of is as Wayne would say. "Im not worthy, Im not worthy!" Oh, and by the way I get 32 MPG on the highway, is that poor fuel economy?
