  • New to the Corolla Line - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

For my age, in the lower 60s, this is a nice conservative looking car. Im new to the Corolla line and for years Ive admired the new look. I bought one. I like everything about this car except for the stock tires. TireRack rated these low rolling resistance stock tires as one of the lowest in ride quality and it feels like it, i.e. some road noise. However when these tires wear out, Im looking to buy some premium low rolling resistance tires that will make everything about this car top notch. As a scientist, Im just looking to go from point A to point B with affordability, reliability and best fuel economy in mind.

  • GREAT CAR! - 2016 Toyota Corolla

I have the car less than a month. So far, my only complaints are that the storage compartment in the center console is too small, although its deep...and its positioned slightly too far back. Bluetooth works great, but although, i can have incoming text read to me (hands-free), the system does not provide an iption for me to reply via voice activation. I cannot comment in fuel economy yet because I have only driven about 200 miles so far. Started with an almost full tank. I was down to 1/2 tank at 179 miles, so I think its pretty good.

  • Outstanding value for low cost! - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is my first new car in ten years and compared to what was available in its class back then this car represents an outstanding value for under $20k. All of my Toyotas outlast any other make of car Ive had, which has brought me back to Toyota for the Corolla. My preference leans toward great mileage and a taught suspension and the Corolla Eco does not disappoint. I dont need power since most folks just mosey along in heavy traffic here. What Im particularly impressed with is the tight and predictable handling of this little car. Ive driven a lot of recent model cars, such as the Mazda 3 and 5, Honda Accord, etc and I think the Corolla Eco is the best deal out there. My one complaint is Im a tall guy and the seat travel isnt quite enough for me. Just 1 inch more would be a huge plus for me. But for short trips Im not fussing. This car is a pleasure to own and drive. I keep my cars for 10-15 yrs so Im a very picky buyer.

  • Manual locking the door is a chore - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I love Corolla, I owned 2 previously, one lasted 171/2 years that has 274,000 miles, it is still running. Any way, I got the lowest model L expecting similar convenience but I am annoyed with finding the locking button. It is sort of hidden behind the door handle and it is so small, extremely awkward to locate and push it. Also, there is a waste space on the inside door, previously there was a little storage that I could put little items that I could reach quickly while driving, not there any more. I also missed another storage space near the mirror control button. I use that space too for my small items within reach, now I have to look down to put small items away and have to look down to locate it. Other than these inconveniences, the car is great so far. I only own it for 1 month but I expect it is a great car for long term value. Anna

  • cute little commuter car - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I have been driving this for 2 weeks while my Acura is in the collision shop. Great first car for a teen or a great commuter car. For a non-leather interior, the cloth seats are nice. Power windows and mirrors but not power seats. I am 54" and have the seat pulled all the way up. Not sure how shorter drivers would do. It has that CVT transmission that you will either love or hate. Its a little hard to get used to. Prefer more acceleration. Great on gas. AWFUL stereo.

  • Great car! Great value! - 2016 Toyota Corolla

First I want to say thank you to everyone who writes reviews. As a person who doesnt know too much about cars I really relied on the honesty of the consumers to help to choose my new vehicle and here we are :) So I wanted to make sure that I pay it forward and write a review in hopes of helping someone in their car buying decision. Pros: Trusted name, cost/value, mpg, tech features, safety and handling Cons: Shape of the headlights, on low beams it does limit how far they illuminate ahead especially on hills (but I have gotten used to it after a month) high beams are fine And the middle console is a little smaller than Im used too (which is really no big deal I just need to stop storing so much junk in my car lol) Overall love this car feels great knowing I didnt have to compromise quality for value and this is an upgrad from my 2002 honda accord.

  • Great daily driver!!!! - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

First off this is a Corolla, not a luxury car. For the segment this car was meant for, its a great car. As a daily driver, 28mpg in the city is really nice compared to 10mpg from my previous suv. The entertainment system is great, especially when paired to your mobile phone. Seat comfort is actually very nice, even the back seats. The only really complaint i have is engine\transmission noise, it might be because its a 1.8L and its trying but its a little noise and you can tell its a 4 cyl. Maybe a little more sound dampening material may help, not sure. There is some road noise on rough roads, could be the tires that come on the car but on the smooth roads its quiet. Dealer support for this vehicle is excellent.
