Great Car! - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Chrissie - February 28 - 10:00 amI bought my 1997 Corolla when I turned 16, as a first car. Ive put that car through a lot of abuse (rare oil changes, squealing tires, etc.) and Ive never had a bad problem with it. Its held up beautifully. I was even rear-ended by a brand new Cadillac, and the Cadillac was totaled, and my Corolla had a slight scratch on the rear bumper...it was amazing. While its not the most fancy car, its certainly the most reliable, well built, and all around practical car. I highly reccomend the Corolla, especially as a first car, because it holds up so well, and needs little to no matinence.

The Corollinator as shes well known as. - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Jon Austin - July 31 - 2:00 amI bought this car out of college cause it was a decent looking car and it had all the options extra options I was looking for like CD, power roof, alloy wheels, spoiler, wood trim, etc. at 12, 000 mi. I detailed cars for a living through school and she gets a good hows your father once a summer. It now has 93,000 and Ive only had to put one set of front brakes and tires on it. Thats it. I took it in for brakes at 60k and they told me "Nah, you got another 20 some odd thousand left on them. To this day, the car has a great finish, one crack in the vinyl on the side of the drivers seat. If you want a decent car that runs like a tank....Corollinator!

The Corolla is a Warrior - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Edith Gipson - June 24 - 10:23 amNo one has to tell that Toyota is the best car for the money. I bought my Corolla new in 1997 and have now passed it on to my son after purchasing a 2009 Camry. This car was so cute at first, then the paint begin to fade and the interior became a bit worn, but I never had to use public transportation... not ever. This little car has seen me through a lot and Ill always give the Corolla thumbs up. When I bought my new car, I couldnt help but lay my hands on "Ms. T" and say thanks for the ride. I had to replace a few minor parts, but nothing really major. Keep the oil changed every 3000 miles and this car keeps rolling. It should be in the car hall of fame.

Great small car - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By sasycdb - June 17 - 10:00 amIf you want a dependable, reliable car with good gas mileage, this is it! I have 73K miles (purchased used with 27K miles) and no problems or repairs (except normal oil change, tires, air filter). Tho not fancy, I can depend I will get where I need to go, Ive never been stranded, and love my Corolla! Also good acceleration for a small engine/car.

Best Compact Sedan on the Market! - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Flyest - April 6 - 10:00 amI recently purchased my car (two months ago) and I have fell in love with it. It looks great, it’s reliable, and it has great gas mileage. I have the DX model, with all of the possible features, and I have to say...it is the "Queen" of all other 1997 Corollas. I would definitely recommend a Corolla to anyone.

Love what you do for me! - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By HiMilesDriver - February 17 - 10:06 amI bought my 1997 Toyota Corolla from a rental car company. It is a 4-door automatic. It came with 24k miles and Ive put another 70k on it since then. I have had NO unexpected mechanical problems with it (other than the time my husband ran down the battery by leaving the keys in it all night!)I would still feel comfortable driving it on a trip. I would recommend this car to anyone, especially for a student going to college who will be driving back and forth a lot.

6 years later - still strong - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By RRP - November 24 - 10:00 amIve had this car for over 6 years now. Unfortunately, I will need to part with it as the kids are older and dont fit comfortably in it any longer. I have only changed the tires on my car, nothing else. I change the oil of course. I loved this car and am sorry that I must part with it.
