Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Piece of Junk - 2002 Toyota Corolla

Owned this car for a few years, had both Cats go change under warranty. Toyota put bad motors in these, rings that carbon up and dont seal. I was burning a quart every 200 miles when the car had 50,000, dealer told me they could not confirm the complaint. I have owned 3 Toyotas now and all were cheaply put together and I had nothing but problems. I thing it is time to give the American Cars a try again, can not be any worse then this Junk Box they call the best.

We were in the market for a new car recently. We thought we would give a Toyota a try. 14 days after purchasing a 2017 Corolla LE driving down a 45 mph street under traffic with with my 4 year old in the backseat and my pregnant wife in the front seat the car died. The electronics stayed on but pushing the gas pedal did nothing. I put on my flashers, coasted to a stop, put it in park and the car restarted. Luckily we didnt get rear ended and we are safe. The car we replaced was a 2002 Civic which had no issues like this over 15 years of owning it. Monday I will be calling the dealer to see what they can do. A new car 14 days off the lot with 350 miles should not have these types of issues.

I Switch between Hyundai 2017 Elantra and Toyota 2017 Corolla because I thought Corolla was better but after using Corolla Im very upset because for the first month of my use it of Corolla I had three problems in the car 1.I have a very annoying wheezing sound when driving at 40 miles I think in the transmission that it is imagine me driving a very old car and going Twice to Jerry dealer and did not fixe it and sent an E-mail to Toyota America and They did not find a solution I am dissatisfied.

  • Worst Purchase Ive ever made! - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Buying this car was a biggest mistake in my life. Poorest customer service, uncomfortable Steering wheel, Problems with trunk lid closing, cheap material used for interior, seats not comfortable, Toyota does not allow you to put floor mats on the driving side, which is insane as you ruin your cars carpet much sooner. Gas pedal problem was never resolved. I took it to the dealers and they cheated that it has been fixed. In fact, they just took the floor mat away. No compensation was offered for the recall. Please think 100 times before buying this car. You may have other great options in the market such as Honda, Nissan, and Hyundai. Final word, be careful, Toyotas dealers are butchers!

I bought a 2016 Correll 5 months ago and have had nothing but issues with the a/c system. There is a mold smell coming out of the vents. I have taken it to my local dealer 3 times in less rhan a month and they are trying to tell me to just deal with it and they cant get the smell out. This is a known issue with the Corollas per the shop manager at toyota. Just another note. There a certain instructions on how to shut the a/c systems off (make sure you follow it). Even though i have and it did not resolve my issue. I cant wait for the summer for it to get worse. I doubt i will ever buta toyota again. Expecially a corrola.

  • Boring but nice - 2006 Toyota Corolla

When you buy a Corolla, you know youre not getting a sporty chick magnet kind of vehicle. Youre getting a safe reliable car that will get you from point A to point B in comfort. And the Corolla does that just fine. The engine is extremely loud at low speeds. Brakes are not that great but acceptable. Handling is subpar. But the engine does calm down a lot at cruising speeds and the car becomes luxury like quiet. Bumps and rattles are nonexistent, its a very smooth ride. Theres lots of headroom due to the car being so tall. Its taller than a Camry. The intrument panel illumination is a very clear and bright white but it doesnt match the green from the stereo and HVAC controls.
