  • Excellent value, comfort and acceleration. - 2016 Nissan Maxima

2016 Maxima is my first Nissan purchase... I have driven GTR on the track multiple times and am always impressed. My Acura was out of commission due to the airbag recall and I was put into a Maxima S rental. Needless to say, I was so impressed, that I bought a platinum 2 weeks later. Being a 40 yr old Engineer, I am very particular and can say that Maxima provides the best 4 door performance and comfort for the money. Strong acceleration, quiet and soft ride, good fuel economy and excellent fit and finish. CVT is very smooth and provides nearly instant acceleration at any speed similar to driving an electric car. My favorite aspect of this car is the driver’s layout along with seating position and comfort. Nowadays most cars are moving toward touch screen everything… which can be a frustrating experience in real world driving and not very safe IMO. Maxima provides 4 ways to control the electronics… touch screen, buttons, steering wheel buttons and a rotating button by the gear shifter. Although it is not AWD, the FWD drive provides plenty of traction in everyday driving and almost no torque steer unless under hard acceleration. Other cars in its class lack the driver’s layout and comfort, are slower and more expensive. No worries here as Maxima will not disappoint. Don’t be over sold by brand names. Do your homework and you will find that Maxima is an excellent value.

  • Should have purchased something else. - 2016 Nissan Maxima

I love the sleek look of my new 2016 Maxima SL but wish I would have purchased something else. I acceleration is poor. The cost not worth the car. I bought it in super black but having issues with the dealer because it The detail shop waxed it and now I have a lot of swirls and scratches in the paint.

I traded a Chevy Tahoe in for my Maxima Platinum. This is the first car I have owned since high school (I am 68). I am very impressed with this car. Believe me I did a lot of research and drove several vehicles before buying this car. I actually went to the dealer to look at a smaller suv, when I saw the Maxima I was really impressed with the body style and all the features on the Maxima Platinum. One of my main concerns was road noise, I told the salesman that if the car had road noise I was not interested. After driving, I was completely sold on this car. For the price, you will not find a classier sedan.

Great new style. Its a 4 DOOR SPORTS CAR. To me it is bigger and better and less expensive than the BMW I was looking at. Also the Maxima offered a better alternative to the pricy sister company Infiniti line. Its brand new, so check back with me in a year.

  • Do Not buy a Nissan Maxima - 2016 Nissan Maxima

After much hype, we purchase the 2016 Nissan Maxima. We purchase it in the end of October. We have had it in the shop 6 times for electrical issues and rattles. We have escalated the issue to Nissan with no resolution. They have the worst customer service. This is a very very bad car. Do not purchase one. Buyer beware! I wont by another Nissan the way I have been treated.

Leased this vehicle almost a year ago. Great service from the sales team. Got a great deal. The car itself is fantastic for a car under 40k. I have the SR model in black with the camel tone Interior and it looks great. Good acceleration, comfortable ride, and great driving experience. The heated steering wheel is useless to me because I live Florida. I air conditioned steering wheel would be a great feature. Handling could be better, but overall its a fantastic car that has decent speed and would also make a good family car. I enjoy it thoroughly.

Decided getting this car brought a 3.5 Platinum. It is a good looking car even can drive it to baseball games and NFL FOOTBALL Stadiums has everything that so equipped in all of the bells and whistles. Navigation system and ventilated and heated seats are impressive including panoramic moon roof - Bluetooth work for my Samsung Galaxy S6 electronics seems better in this new car. Maxima performance is amazing keep it Sport mode only) - CVT is incredible as car got new 300 horsepower 3-5L engine faster acceleration a smoother aggressive ride. I love how comfortable these seats they absolutely hug you only complaint interior size is smaller feels little snugged other than I satisfied with fit and finish materials. New technology is excellent just liking my car its beautiful on outside new design of exterior - LED Lights got more slimmer its much more fun to drive. Incentives, prices and values are bringing this car down I dont know seems sells on these cars arent too shabby well at least times will changed after while but I am glad purchased my Platinum its a great looking vehicle compared to other luxury cars as non-expensive brand like Nissan. So far recently purchased a few weeks ago blown away on everything inside and out of this car new looks and a outstanding interior design Nissan has improved a lot on this car its better than compared with last model new model is a computer car advanced handles better more quiet on highway definitely stylish in lots new upgrades.

  • Smaller on the inside while bigger on the outside - 2016 Nissan Maxima

Ive owned 09 & traded for a 12; loving them both except for each had cabin electronics failures before 34K... My test of the 16 was enjoyable yet uncomfortable. Why? The connection hit me when the salesman mention the aircraft cockpit styling changes. THAT WAS IT! Why I was so uncomfortable. the 16s new cabin mods reduced seat width and right leg room reminding me not of a fighter cockpit; but the cramped seating of all my hated 200 flights in the past 18 months. Sorry - the 12 will not got to a 2016 PS I miss the paddle shifters. I actually use them.
