At 18K miles. I love the look of the car, very high class. I love to drive the car, handles, accelerates, performs excellently. I get 27-28 miles to the gallon driving 50 miles to work. 10 miles @ 70 mph, 30 miles @ 60-65 mph and the rest in town. I came out of a Jeep Commander so all the things above are delightful. Cons; there is no lumber support so Ive had to buy a contraption to be more comfortable. I have my seat high which may be why I feel like the vents dont blow all the places I want them to. My ring has gouged the rubber off my steering wheel a couple of places. Road noise, and if anything, a bug or rain, hits the top of the car it sounds like a tin shed, and many rattles

Was on cloud 9 when driving home w/my new 2011 sonata, until 2 weeks and 680 miles later, on my birthday, to find myself calling roadside assistance 1 hr before having to leave for an event, when I placed my car in drive and it went into reverse! Thinking I was crazy, I tried 3x from park to drive with no luck. Called my husband to witness this, and 2 additional bystanders saw my car problem, car was in drive & went into reverse without foot on gas! They reset computer and do not know why this happened, but dealership and Hyundai want car to duplicate problem before they will take action! Do not feel safe and I am not the happy car owner I was 2 weeks ago! I will continue to take action!

  • A great car for the money - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

My limited is a great car, however the interior still feels a bit cheap. The plastic applique on the inside of the door is horrid, IMHO. Traded an 07 V6 Altima, so it truly isnt quick compared to the V-6. Cant believe the limited didnt have dual exhaust! I was shocked at no heated seats in SE. I know Im sounding picky, but this is my 38th car and Ive had all makes and models. The stereo (Dimension) sounds pretty good. The trunk in the Sonata is huge, yes 4 sets of golf clubs! Back seat is smallish due to slopped roof-line. Center stack very logical. Sunroof is smallish too. But mileage is great and the price cant be beat. Great car for $. Leather seats are mediocre.

Ive had my 2011 Sonata SE for just a few weeks now so this is just a preliminary note. Car is BEAUTIFUL -- iridescent silver blue pearl is simply awesome. What wasnt awesome was getting 20 mpg (mostly highway) from my first tankful.

  • Looks Great! Drives So So - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I have my Sonata for 6 months now and still find the styling inside and out to be a real eye-catcher. However, driving the car is a completely different experience. I have complained to the dealer twice in 3000 miles about the poor shifting and jerky acceleration during normal driving. The transmission slips and jerks on most upshifts. The road noise and handling can certainly use improvement. Too much tire noise and car tends to wander. It does, however, get excellent gas mileage both around town (28 mpg) and on the highway (36.5 mpg)

have had the 2011 since the summer and it has been a very favorable experience. good mileage and excellent performance for this class/price/mileage.

  • Overall Good Car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Ive owned this car for 6 months and 7900 miles. So far, here are my impressions: Pros: Great combination of power and fuel economy, great looking body, well executed and very comfortable interior, large number of features for the price. Cons: Electric power steering doesnt have the best feel, road noise (tires) is louder than it should be, my car has the slight left pull issue that comes-and-goes with tire rotations, 18" wheels with low profile tires are very sensitive to road irregularities, too easy to scrape 18" wheels on curbs, car wash guides, etc.

I have had my 2011 GLS for a year and 16k miles. Overall I really like this car. I am 63 and have painful back issues. This car has the best support and the least back pain problems of any car I have ever driven on a long trip. We recently averaged 32 MPG driving the interstate at 80 mph. I cannot drive at 65 -70, but I am sure it would hit the 35 as advertised. City milage is not so good, but I come close to the 22mpg as stated. This car is roomy, I love the styling, it had a low base price and the dealer had a $1000 rebate, whats not to love. This is a great highway car. I wanted the Limited, but the sunroof really compromised the headroom as I am tall.

  • 11 Sonata Limited - Nice Ride - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I bought the limited in Harbor Gray with the wind colored leather interior which is gorgeous.Gas mileage so far is great after 3 months and 3200 miles. The leather interior had some weak spots (burrs) in both front and rear seat which dealership replaced. Biggest issue has been annoying (rattle) popping sound in the dash. Has been in the shop twice to have this corrected. It is quiet for several days and then the rattle returns. The dealership has been awesome and I got a good deal by shopping different local dealerships. This car is a real head turner. I have people ask me all the time what kind of car it is.

Ok ,You will all think i am crazy but I traded my 2005 E55AMG IN FOR A 2011 Hyundai. My Merc had 73k and got 13mpg around town. I bought the SE version which has the sporty feel after and after a lot of neg i got the white SE with tinted windows for 21k even. I have had it for the weekend and put 300m on the clock. Comfort good, fuel economy great, looks perfect ,just not sure if i am going to be able to deal with the wimpy engine,so far so good! Would recommend this if you were looking to buy a mid size car. oh yes ,traded my E because i was tired of the $ huge bills every time something went wrong, Total rating 8/10 for me. $21000 for this car is great value.
