  • Hard to beat! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Unless you are a stubborn person, it should be pretty easy to figure out what car is worth every penny. This car after a month of ownership Im still impressed. I am a car fanatic. I love cars, so when i decided to buy a new car, i did a month long research. On paper this car was very hard to beat especially for the price. But as any car buff would tell you, its not whats on paper. So i test drove, and drove, and drove. The clear choice was a Sonata. Finally someone was listening to the people that actually drive these cars. Hyundai had built a car for people who wanted value without compromise. I love it when people stop and stare and then asks "Is that a Hyundai?"

We love the 2011 sonata it drives like a BMW. It has plenty of power but yet the elegance of a luxury car. Everybody we know keeps asking us what kind of car we got and how we could afford something that nice they all think it is a BMW or something expensive. This is by far the nicest car we have ever owned.

  • Great car - with only one issue - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Replaced my (120,000 mi) 12 yr. old 6-Cyl EX with a Sonata Ltd. I was concerned about the 4-cyl engine - but it has plenty of power. Road noise is minimal compared to the Accord. Fuel economy is outstanding - in town and on the road. The standard package includes almost everything you could want - at several thousand less than an Accord. Ive put about 750 miles on so far. The only issue Ive had is the cruise control. It doesnt slow the car going downhill. I had it set at 60 mph - but it increased to over 70 and was increasing (from the downhill grade) when I finally hit the brakes.

  • Sick of Honda - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I am a life-long Honda and Toyota owner. But I bought the 2011 Sonota about 2 weeks ago, because my beloved 1999 Honda Accord Coupe with 138,000 miles has a blown head gasket (very disappointed). I love everything about the 2011 Sonata, except I wanted a stick shift but the dealer said it hard to find. For those who are still undecided, dont wait any longer - buy it! The value, power (198 HP), blue tooth, warranty, styling, comfort, trunk space, etc. The 2011 Sonata is a great car for the money. Eat your heart out Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, GM. They are all overpriced!

  • 2011 Sonata 2.0T - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I purchased a 2.0T SE, I love the gas mileage and power but these cars have had hundreds complains concerning the steering. If there is a crown in the road at highway speeds, the car will pull hard towards it. Please test drive yours if youre thinking of buying! In the left highway lane. Hyundai is not fixing the problem.

  • Love my 2011 Sonata - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I got my 2011 Sonata in March and I will say that I have never thought I would own a Hyundai again. I had a 2000 Hyundai Accent and then a 2002 Hyundai Accent and I was very disappointed with car. But since the new model came out for the Sonata I was totally in love with the way it looked and I honestly was willing to give Hyundai another try and Im happy I did. I had a Mazda 6 and Im happy I no longer have that car. The Sonata is so much better hands down. When I went to test drive the Sonata has soon as I sat in the car I was sold. My father went from a S class Mercedes to the Hyundai Eqqus and I thought why not try it out. I guess I can say that we are now a "Hyundai Family".

  • 25,000 miles then expect to pay. - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

After 25,000 miles I brought my 2011 Sonata in for service as the engine light was on. At this time I was told I needed new front brakes and tires. I called Hyundai customer service on this and explained to them that I have leased cars for many years and have never had the brakes or tires needing replacement and that one of the reasons I lease every 3 years is so I dont have to deal with the high cost of these kind of repairs. I was told by Hyundai customer service that these repairs were necessary due to " normal wear and tear" my response to them was that I felt this was ridiculous, that if I drive my Sonata normal, after 25,000 miles expect to spend $600 to $700 for brakes and tires.

  • Cool for a family car! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

So far the car has amazed us with all the standard features. I really like the ac controls and the air bags that surround you and all the passengers. It looks make it seem like the car cost more than it really does. I was able to get my car at $500 back of invoice so the car came out under $20,000. Which is amazing for all the feature you get. I would guess for a Honda Accord with the same feature would cost around $26,000.

  • Great car until 100K mile, now very disappointed - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

All schedule maintenance had been done on my car and despite that. Right after my 100K warranty ran out in year number 3! 1. Starter failed at 105K miles 2. Engine replaced at 135K miles after usual hwy trip the engine light flickered went off and then followed by engine noise *(knocking or ping). Other than that great car. I thought this car would have been as reliable as my 2001 Hynadia Elantra which is still running with 207K mile on it.

  • Love it! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Ive only had it a few week, but I love it. So easy and fun to drive. It has plenty of pick-me-up which surprised me since its a 4-cyl. I think its the classiest look on the road. Does everything the high end cars do but at a much better price. I highly recommend it.
