This Year's Model Updates:

For 2005, trim levels have been slightly revised, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a HomeLink remote transmitter has been added to the LX.

Pros:
  • Excellent warranty, pleasant highway ride, refined V6 engine, lots of storage space.
Cons:
  • Noisy four-cylinder engine, bland interior design and materials, tight rear-seat legroom, tepid handling.

  • No Regrets - 2005 Hyundai Sonata

I did a lot of research before I bought this car. I hadnt even thought of looking at a Hyundai until I read about the warranty, roadside assistance & all the favorable reviews & about what a great value it is for the money. Finally I went to a dealership to "rule out" this vehicle & instead wound up falling in love with it & buying it. No regrets!

I really like my car, a Silver, 2004 Hyundai, Sonata. I bought it brand new in July 2004 and have put about 9000 miles on it so far. The only thing I had a problem with was the fact that a few months ago the circuit for all of the windows went out, none would go up or down and the dealership I went to for help told me I would have to wait a week to fix the windows. Beyond the window problem, I do love my car. I also like the fact that the exterior design makes it look like i spent a lot more money on the Sonata than I actually did. Overall, I am very happy with my car.

  • 8,000 miles on my 2005 Sonata - 2005 Hyundai Sonata

I just turned 8,000 miles on my new Sonata (bought new) & still the best car available in my book. NO problems even through a tough slippery winter -- ABS & TRC pulled me through with flying colors! I love the sleek design -- everyone thinks its one classy-looking vehicle. One friend summed it up by saying, "Wow... you can go ANYWHERE in a car like that!" Its true. Weve driven across three states & the car is very comfortable. Love the back seat armrest & three seat belts, huge trunk, plush interior & fun driving. A/C cranks up fast, too! Classy black with beige interior, even in 90 degree heat its not unbearably hot inside. Kids fit in the back, even my 16 year old son & his girlfriend.

  • Excellent choice for my money - 2005 Hyundai Sonata

I truly love this car! Even though it doesnt have all the horsepower Id like it too, it still has more than enough to get you from point A to B and everywhere in between. This vehicle is designed and styled to be luxury but without the overpricing that other dealers have. Great car! Excellent value!

  • Great Car! - 2005 Hyundai Sonata

Interior quite nice. Placements of all dashboard knobs ( for radio, heater, etc. )are conveniently located for easy access. Cruise control, fog light switch, and trunk and gas door openers, are conveniently located on steering wheel and on inside door near power window levers. Seats are comfortable. Sliding moon roof is very smooth operation. Good sized trunk. The outside is in a class all its own - looks like a very expensive car. Great pickup, smooth ride and easy handling. Is a pleasure to drive. Only drawback is that in town gas mileage is not higher.

  • HAD A JAG - 2005 Hyundai Sonata

Didnt want to spend money on gas anymore. Checked the Hyundai and its better than the Jag, less expensive, roomier, more comfort, and practically the same extras. Almost looks like the Jag too. Gls special value pack is a bargain.

  • I love my new LX Sonata !! - - 2005 Hyundai Sonata

After 12 years of driving a 1994 Ford Taurus, I finally made the jump to a new car...I like many did much research and you just CANNOT beat the value this car offers...completely loaded with everything an average driver needs for less than $20,000...I receive a ton of comments because it looks more expensive than it is and the black color just adds to it...Ive heard the paint quality is not the best but that will be something Ill only be able to see after time...I plan on waxing and polishing the heck out of it to keep it looking as good as I can...HIGHLY recommend the Sonata !..btw, 1,700 miles to date and no problems...
