Overview & Reviews
The 2007 Hyundai Elantra sedan is completely redesigned. Horsepower hasn't increased, but interior room and fuel economy have improved significantly. The five-door hatchback is out of the lineup for now but will return later in the model cycle.
- Smooth and secure ride, responsive handling, attractive cabin design, adult-friendly backseat, tight construction, all major safety features standard, low price, long warranty.
- Engine is noisy at mid-to-high rpm, a few low-grade interior plastics.

Best car ever!!!! - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By Sarah - December 20 - 6:16 pmI just bought the 2007 model in Carobon Gray and I love it. Its fun and comfortable to drive. At first a little sluggish, but now its moving really well. Hyundai said it learns how you drive so around 1,000 miles it pickes up more speed! MPG could be a little better, but very attractive exterior and interior, very roomy, and a nice price!!!!

Respectable - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By Mark - December 20 - 2:47 pmReally a very pleasant car. Very easy to drive, well made, quiet at cruising, nice touches throughout the car despite its very reasonable price. Good on gas at averaging 28-33mpg. Decent sound system with Mp3 capability. Acceleration a bit course but not unbearable. Steering is very light and took some getting used to. Would recommend to anyone who wants a problem free car thats very relaxing to drive. Certainly feels as if its made to last in the way its screwed together and performs.

Its Fabulous!! - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By Bethesda - December 5 - 4:26 pmI love driving my Elantra!! When I was car shopping I was deciding between a Honda Civic & Toyota Corolla. Just before I had decided between the two, Hyundai came out with the New 2007 model for their Elantra. It looked very similar to the Civic, but it was signifiantly cheaper. So, I got the Elantra in January in the color that I wanted. Its Fabulous!!

1st but not last Hyundai! - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By Justin in Eagleville - December 2 - 1:37 amI knew this was the right car for me after the first test drive! In fact I talked numbers with the dealer as I sat behind the wheel - I didnt want to get out! I was also looking at the Nissan Sentra and the Mazda 3, but they just werent all the car the Elantra is. I used to have a 2005 Scion xA, and I think Im getting the same fuel economy with a bigger vehicle. I like the fact I was able to get so much more car for my money than co-workers and friends got for their cars! I HIGHLY recommend to anyone. I love the XM radio and havent even used the standard radio or CD yet.

I LOVE my Elantra! - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By Shirley from SC - December 1 - 9:45 amI absolutely love my Elantra. I drive an hour to work every day, and with my Elantra, this drive is awesome! I love the gas mileage, 36 mpg, with combined city and highway. All the safety features are great, and the car handles very well when driving. More than once has saved me from terrible wrecks, being able to get out of the way of other people who were having a bad driving experience. Absolutely nothing to say bad about my Elantra!

elantra keeps getting better - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By H. L. [Jim] Freeman - November 30 - 11:20 pmThis is my sixth consecutive Elantra because it is fun to drive and gets excellent fuel economy, while still having reasonable cargo space. In addition, I can count on its reliabiltiy. On roads where speed limits are irrelevant, I can cruise at 100 mph and the mileage only drops slightly.

very nice car for great price - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By joe from pa - November 14 - 9:18 pmI found this car to be highly attractive with a well designed interior. My color is black. I have been stopped in supermarket lots by people who cant believe how good the car looks. Great style lines! So many great standard features - full of airbags, great entry stereo, easy to use controls that light up with a dynamic blue glow at night. Fun to drive. Dealer gave a great price - I did the research. Personally, I like the style better than the Sonata!! Remember, I did not expect a BMW quality line for this price. What I got was a very good car with superb value that looks expensive! Im real good with that!

My Elantra SE at 1800 miles - 2007 Hyundai Elantra
By blkhd07 - November 9 - 2:21 amIt is exactly what I wanted in an compact car - 1) Decent overall performance 2) Small enough to fit most San Francisco parking spaces 3) Roomier than my previous compact 4) Loads of features and refinements to make me feel that I was NOT making any compromises in buying a sub-$20k car 5) Killer price (especially with the rebate I got) 6) Very good gas mileage 7) Anticipated reliability as good as Toyota (very important) This doesnt get as good gas mileage as a Prius (heck it doesnt even get its own stated EPA city MPG of 28) but it is at least low emission PZEV. Hwy MPG is about as promised--36. The ride experience is just as refined as the Prius, but cost me 10k less.
