Model Overview:

Since its launch in 1973, the Honda Civic has been one of the most popular compact cars sold in America. Its success can be attributed in large part to its consistently high level of quality inside and out and its long-standing reputation for reliability and low running costs. Impressive fuel economy and engaging performance have also played a role in making the Civic a top choice for many Americans.

The competition has largely caught up with Honda, though, and there are now many excellent small cars vying for your attention. Still, we continue to recommend the Civic due to its ergonomic interior layout, wide range of models and high resale value. For small-car shoppers in search of a solid used vehicle, the Honda Civic is certainly a smart choice, as its long production run and many variants make it easy to find what you want.

2015 Civic is allergic to Android software and I was not told that. You can make calls etc but you have to use your phone first. No such thing as contact book. The software is all Apple based. I commute 80 miles each way to work and Ive put 2105 miles averaging 37.6 (actual, not computer) and I find the interior noise level to be very quite and the ride to be very comfortable. The computer is 3% overstated, which is normal for nearly all cars. Im very satisfied with the vehicle.

I bought my Civic LX with 30,000 miles back in early 1998 while I was still in college. I sold it in December 2007 with 157,000 miles the engine was as strong and dependable as when I bought it. Major maintenance costs were as follows: 80,000 mi: slave clutch cylinder died ($120) 100,000 mi: replaced timing belt ($400) 130,000 mi: master clutch cylinder died ($200) 130,000 mi: radiator cracked on plastic head ($350) 130,000 mi: replaced both front axles due to cracked boots ($400) 150,000 mi: replaced steering cracking rack boot ($300) 155,000 mi: ignition switch started to go bad While I went through about 3 pairs of front brake pads, the rear brake shoes were still the originals. Brake pads cost me as little as $9, and with a single bolt holding each front caliper in place, they were a snap (30 minutes) to replace. At around 100,000, the car just wouldnt start up one day I replaced the spark plugs (~$15), and it started right back up. At 155,000, the car just shut off on the road on the way to work, and all the instrumentation shut off. It started up again, but did the same to me a couple of additional times throughout the week. I traced the issue to a bad ignition switch, common in high-mileage Hondas. Cost is about $200. While this car is extremely dependable, its most certainly not a luxury car (even with the "LX" moniker). Road noise is quite noticeable, and the rear plastic bumper panel keeps trying to pry loose from its attach point on the quarter panel. The engine vibrates going through 4000 rpm while accelerating, and the whole vehicle shutters in response. The original sound system leaves much to be desired, and the paper speakers will most certainly die well before the car. Despite its shortcomings, I most heartily recommend this car. Its 30-40 mpg gas mileage, its extreme reliability, and its inexpensive maintenance make up for its shortcomings in spades.

  • Nice to be back in a Honda - 2015 Honda Civic

After 25 Years of driving mostly Toyotas, I thought I would give a Honda a try again. Our "weekend " car is a very nice Lexus ES 350, so I drive my new Civic Coupe almost every day. I am very pleased with the fit and finish on this car, and like most Hondas, it is mostly fun to drive. I found the CVT to be a pleasant surprise, as my experience with them on rental cars was not good. They always seemed to be sluggish, but not so with this little Honda. Looks like they got it right with this car. My only gripe with the car is with the infotainment system. Being a very tech savvy person, I thought it would be easy to figure out, but I have found myself going to the owners manual more than I would like. That said, this a great little car, and I look forward to many pleasant years of ownership.

  • I absolutely love this car. - 2015 Honda Civic

I traded in a 2009 Toyota Sienna for the 2015 Honda Civic EX 4-door sedan. I didnt need the mom van anymore, and was looking for a fun little car at an affordable price that had "bells and whistles". I researched new cars for 3-4 months, and felt pretty sure the Honda Civic was my best fit, although I admit I was hesitant to go from a van with a v6 engine with great pickup-and-go to a 1.8 cyl CVT. I shouldnt have worried. The Civic has no problem with acceleration, even starting uphill after standing still. The ride is very comfortable, and I commute an hour and a half every day. The interior is very attractive. I love the sunroof. It has auto air, so I set it to one temperature and hardly ever have to mess with the air control. Its sporty and fun to drive. The price cant be beat. Its a terrific car at a great price with great features. I would recommend this car to anyone.

ROAD NOISE SUCKS THOUGH!!! Very noisy. And there no outside air display which is kind of weird. Other than that it is amazing. I love the gas mileage and that it takes regular gas. Looks super sporty on the outside and slick interior is nice and simple. So far so good! 19.120k miles and going strong.

  • Great, dependable car - 2007 Honda Civic

I purchased my 2007 Civic with 80k miles in 2012. I just traded it in with 126k miles, for a brand new Civic. I bought a new one because I didnt want to take a chance at having any mechanical issues down the road. However, while owning my 07 Civic I never had any unusual or unexpected repairs, besides my starter going out at 110k. It was a great car, no complaints.

Great value! I recently traded in my 07 Civic for a brand new 15. I wasnt expecting anything short of spectacular, and I got what I expected. Pros: *Awesome standard tech & safety features *Ride height (not too low) and good rearward visibility *Excellent steering & acceleration, yet very quiet cabin & high mpg *large trunk, good amount of storage *EX options are well worth the extra$$ (blind spot camera, moonroof, touch screen infotainment, smart entry, & black accented alloy wheels) Cons: *the cloth seats. Previously, Honda did a good job with keeping the cloth simple yet comfortable & attractive. In Civics recent production years the cloth is patterned, shiny, thin, rough & cheap looking. Doesnt look like it can take too much wear & tear, but only time will tell. *center console arm rest has no cushion, extremely hard on elbows *lack of headroom for very tall drivers (only in models with moonroof). I chose the EX partially for the added value of a moonroof, but the moonroof also cuts down headroom by an inch or two. Im 64" though, so not your average driver. I LOVE my Civic, even with the couple minor complaints. Im looking forward to driving it the next couple years and cant wait for my next Honda purchase. Great, dependable brand.

I am all about economy and reliability. This car has both. I like that it is easy to park. It can gain speed quickly on the interstate. I feel that the car is substantially build. The cloth on the seats has held up very well and looks almost new. I have taken my car to the dealer for all recommended maintenance and have been very satisfied. I feel that my money was well spent when I purchased this vehicle.
