Still new and getting use to the vehicle. Bought it for the safety features and the AWD (NE Winters).

I have only had this for a couple of weeks. It did not have Sirius xm, so the dealer put it in. The backup screen is very useful and I am getting acccustomed to it. We took it on a road trip last week and it handled very well in the rain and in DC traffic. The gas mileage was great. So I am pleased with this purchase.

I am generally a big fan of Honda and Acura. But a few things have me shopping against the CRV Touring. First, the Navigation system is pitifully low resolution and the interface is just stupid. Its a big step backwards from my former 12 year old 2004 Acura TL and way behind current offerings from Hyundai, Mazda, and others. Second, Hondas exterior styling with the CRV leaves much to be desired. Again, compare to the Mazda. The CRV Touring wheels look like the designer was on drugs. This is the same company that gave me an S2000 in 2001 that still looks good and crisp today?? These are dumb little things in the big picture, but its equally dumb for Honda to ignore them. If not for Hondas great reliability and resale, Id go with the new Tuscon Limited or CX5. I may end up in a CPO X1 for three rungs up from all of the above in driving dynamics; but if Honda would get their act together in ergonomics, it would make my choice easier.

  • 2016 Honda CRV LX 2WD - 2016 Honda CR-V

Excellent value. Good looking, highly practical, consumer friendly, pleasant to be in and drive. Acceleration is probably the biggest drawback. I have gotten used to cars with better ability to merge into traffic, and to move quickly when necessary. We ended up buying a used car rather than leasing, because of the onerous sales taxes in Texas. This was our top choice of vehicles in the price range.

  • Nice SUV for the price may need little more power - 2016 Honda CR-V

Super good mileage compared to other same line of SUVs. I have a 2002 CR-V with 250K miles still running strong. So i pulled the trigger for 2016 CR-V with 0.9% honda finance. Nice features compared to price for EX AWD. im getting 26-28 MP in local(if i watch my foot) and 31-33 freeway currently. I heard about vibration in 2015 which screwed the fame of CR-V . looks like vibration reduced significantly in 2016 but not completely. I have purchased all weather mats(OEM) , Trunk Tray(OEM) and body side moldings(OEM) online and installed myself and saved nearly $400. I got a quote from honda care(online dealer) for extended warranty of 8 years/100k miles for $950 which was almost 50% less than my local dealer price. Upgrading to LED interior lights and custom fit seats to protect the interior from Kinds. So far so good . Time will tell about reliability :). Looks like other features in touring are really good if the price is affordable for you.

  • Flawed upgrade from 2013 - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

Overall, Im reasonably happy with my new CRV, which replaced a 2013 version of the same vehicle. Reasonably happy, since we bought 2 2016s a month apart. However, the electronics package (no navigation) is a muddled, poorly designed and implemented step backwards from our 2013 Civic and 2013 CRV. In the 13s, push a button and say a name to make a phone call to someone in your speed dial list. Easy to use, and nearly always got it right. In the 2016s, its not only cumbersome, but it usually comes up with the wrong name. At best, it provides a list for you to pick from on the screen, which involves taking eyes off the road. If these functions are important to you, examine them closely and consider whether you are willing to put up with the shoddy behavior of the Honda system. Compared to the system in a Subaru rental car I drove for a few weeks, Honda has a long way to catch up.
