Shopping for mid size crossover - 2016 Honda CR-V
By Ed - March 19 - 2:22 pmI am generally a big fan of Honda and Acura. But a few things have me shopping against the CRV Touring. First, the Navigation system is pitifully low resolution and the interface is just stupid. Its a big step backwards from my former 12 year old 2004 Acura TL and way behind current offerings from Hyundai, Mazda, and others. Second, Hondas exterior styling with the CRV leaves much to be desired. Again, compare to the Mazda. The CRV Touring wheels look like the designer was on drugs. This is the same company that gave me an S2000 in 2001 that still looks good and crisp today?? These are dumb little things in the big picture, but its equally dumb for Honda to ignore them. If not for Hondas great reliability and resale, Id go with the new Tuscon Limited or CX5. I may end up in a CPO X1 for three rungs up from all of the above in driving dynamics; but if Honda would get their act together in ergonomics, it would make my choice easier.

What a Gem! - 2016 Honda CR-V
By SS - March 14 - 11:57 pmThis is an update from a previous submission when our 2016 Honda CRV Touring was only a couple months old. It now is 9 months old with about 11,000 miles on it. It has been driven in all sorts of conditions and weather, including a trip from Ohio to Florida and back again. I am happy to report that this vehicle is better than ever and has performed flawlessly. The Honda Sensing safety features have proven to be quite impressive, keeping the car in its lane on the extended highway trips, and a couple of times the autonomous braking system deployed rapidly enough to prevent accidents we might have otherwise been too slow to prevent. This crossover is the perfect blend of car-like performance and ride coupled with utility, AWD, and abundant amenities. Ive had a lot of nice new cars over the years but none have been better than this in this price range.

CRV - 2016 Honda CR-V
By Melanie - March 10 - 10:24 amHavent had my car very long so some of the ratings I couldnt really answer, however I have always loved Hondas they are dependable and reliable vehicles that will last you a long time. My previous Honda I owned had almost 300, 000 miles and it was still running great! A co-worker of mine still drives his Honda van with over 300, 000 miles on it. You cant go wrong with owning a Honda.

The SUV that set the bar for ALL others - 2016 Honda CR-V
By Jon T - January 31 - 7:09 amThings to take into consideration when looking at the 2016 CR-V EX (middle trim level). Features, Safety and Reliability. The 2016 EX has it all. Smart Key entry, Lane Departure camera, Touchscreen Audio and Personalized Settings, 10way Power Driver Seat (including lower lumbar support adjustment), Tilt and Telescopic Steering, "3" info centers for driver viewing. Not another in its class that is even close.

2016 Honda CRV LX 2WD - 2016 Honda CR-V
By Stephen Oakley - January 18 - 7:18 pmExcellent value. Good looking, highly practical, consumer friendly, pleasant to be in and drive. Acceleration is probably the biggest drawback. I have gotten used to cars with better ability to merge into traffic, and to move quickly when necessary. We ended up buying a used car rather than leasing, because of the onerous sales taxes in Texas. This was our top choice of vehicles in the price range.

Noisy Ride - 2016 Honda CR-V
By Sohan Gupta - December 27 - 12:51 amI purchased a 2016 CR-V EX-L AWD after reading good reviews and seeing so many CR-Vs on the road. I am somewhat disappointed that this brand new CR-V is so noisy to drive. The cabin is so noisy while driving, it has taken the joy out of driving a new vehicle. I took it back to the dealership and their service technician said that the noise is usually road noise because of tires. In fact when the service shop swapped tires and mounted wheels with the tires from a Touring model, the cabin noise was markedly reduced. Reporting the issue to Honda was no help. So I have to live with the noisy ride for next few years until I need to change tires. So, I recommend that if you want a quieter ride, buy a Touring model.

Gasoline fumes in the passenger cabin - 2016 Honda CR-V
By concerned parent - November 30 - 12:37 pmI leased my 2016 CRV in August of 2016. By November 2016, my husband and I began to smell gasoline fumes that would overwhelm the passanger cabin while the car was idling. Honda has admitted that it is a known problem with the 2016 CRV models. PLEASE do some research before leasing or buying. My car has now been at the dealership for FOUR WEEKS without a fix. I am paying for a car that I cannot safely drive. Prolonged exposure to gasoline fumes can lead to a variety of medical issues. With a one year old son, I refuse to allow him to be exposed to the fumes. I hope no one else has to experience the stress that buying a 2016 CRV has caused on my family.
