  • A Terrific Compromise - 2010 Honda CR-V

With rise of gas prices, driving a true SUV became totally impractical even though thats what I preferred since the late 1980s. My last car was a Ford Fiesta and I loved it, but the small size began to worry me. I still drive a lot, so giving up 38 mpg on the highway was an issue. After much searching, I bought a used 2010 CR-V with only 13k miles on it. Ive owned it for 18 months as of this writing and have been quite pleased. It gives me the higher ride of an SUV and a solid 25-27mpg on the highway. Its seats are comfortable (an off-and-on bad back here). Theres plenty of room for storage and passes the all-important "two hockey bag test" with plenty of room for the family.

I purchased the CRV in October of 2010 at Honda of San Marcos, Texas. I purchased from them as they treat you like family there. Averaged 25.4 MPG for the first 14K, service was needed around 7k. At the 2nd service call, recalls to update injectors and something else was done. My wife then went on a 6K trip and averaged 28.1 MPG. The tire air pressure light is somewhat of a pain when there are temperature swings, showing under inflated tires when the temperature drops. Very happy with vehicle overall.

  • One Year Update - 2010 Honda CR-V

I have had my car for almost a year now. The CRV was a gift to myself after graduating college. I love everything about the car! I havnt had a problem since I drove it off that lot. Ive driven to the mountains in Colorado during bad winter storms. The automatic 4-wheel drive made me a bit nervous (in my Jeep I would manual turn on the 4-wheel drive), but it delivered every time. I suggest taking into an icy parking lot and driving around to get used to the feel of the 4-wheel drive. Overall, I love my car and I probably will continue buying Hondas.

i now have nearly 5000 miles on my ex awd crv. quality, comfort, reasonable mpg ie 21-23 around town and 28 highway not to bad for awd. it is quite, handles well, and the build quality is second to none. i have had over 50 vehicles and i know a good one and this is one of the best . i have to say there is nothing that stands out that needs changing, it nearly perfect.

  • First Honda of Many? - 2010 Honda CR-V

Bought this CR-V a few weeks ago at the urging of my wife. Was surprised by the room inside the cabin. Very open design. Wish it had a V6 available but the four seems to do just fine, youre certainly not going to blow by people on the road.

  • So far so good - 2010 Honda CR-V
    By -

Five hundred miles on the car so far and I am very pleased with the ride and fuel economy Im getting (26-27 mpg). Switched from a 2004 Jeep Liberty. Test drove RAV4 and found it to have more road noise and gauges/clock were more difficult to read. Forester is a slug in comparison to CR-V. There is plenty of acceleration, especially where it matters - when you are trying to pass people at 75 mph on a steep hill. Its a little sluggish between 25-35 mph but you can get the acceleration you need if youre willing to be heavy footed. Interior layout is generally good. Seats are a little stiff and the lack of storage in the console is an annoyance. All in all - very happy with my decision!

  • Nice to Drive - 2010 Honda CR-V

First brand new car Ive purchased in 30 yrs. Replaced a 2000 Maxima and, yes, I miss the pickup and comfort that the Maxima had BUT the Maxima rode so low that my vision was constantly blocked by SUVs and trucks and it drove me crazy. The CR-V is comfortable, the interior is roomy and I can see in front of me. I am happy with the trade off of safety for speed. Besides, while the car doesnt accelerate as quickly I find I dont mind it at all. Mileage was low to begin with but since I hit the 2000 mile mark (it only had 4 miles on it when I got it) I am getting about 21 in town and 28 on the highway - better than my Maxima and I dont need premium gasoline!

  • My second Honda! - 2010 Honda CR-V

I like everything about this vehicle except the lack of power. It has enough power to get you to point A,B,C,and all the way to z and back. I just think it can have a V6 engine. The door speakers could be larger to make that subwoofer sound like a BOSE system.

  • Great Car! - 2010 Honda CR-V
    By -

Ive owned my CR-V for almost 4 months and I couldnt be happier! Just returned from a 4,500-mile trip out west and got 28 mpg. Performance in the mountains (Yellowstone and Montana) was not a problem. Im averaging 23-25 mpg with short trips around town. Acceleration has been more than adequate. This car is fun to drive!
