  • 2013 Honda Accord Sport - 2013 Honda Accord

I purchased my Honda Accord Sport brand new in October 2013. Since then, my screen/monitor, starter & battery have been replaced under warranty. The screen went out within a few months, the starter went out in July 2015 at about 17,000 miles and my batterys cell went bad this week at 27,000 miles. After being stranded twice by my car, Im questioning its reliability & wondering what will happen next. I owned a Honda Civic for 10 years & did not have any issues with it. After reading numerous complaints and talking to a Honda salesperson, starter and battery issues are fairly common with newer models. I travel a lot for job purposes, so I must have a car that is reliable. I will be trading my Honda soon.

  • Bad Battery Issue - 2013 Honda Accord

I am leasing this car, got it from dealer in Redding, CA with 17 miles on it as of today Aug.10 2015 the battery has died 4 times with just leaving doors open to vacuum out inside and then close doors, battery dead 2 times, took it to dealer after 1.5 hours they told me nothing wrong. Another time just listening to radio while waiting in car for about 5 mins. dead again so just happen again while I was syncing my iPhone to car maybe key on 4 mins. dead again. I called American Honda this time and told them Im taking it back to dealer in morning, and they opened up a case on it. well see what happens. At this point bad battery or wiring.. Not real happy!

  • Honda Accord Sport is a great value! - 2013 Honda Accord

I purchased the Accord Sport with a 6 speed manual just over a year ago after shopping around for something sporty, reliable, and affordable. I love the car! I have had no problems with the car to date. The car is averaging 30mpg with mixed driving, the best mileage I have achieved was 37mpg on a 350 mile trip which included stop and go highway traffic. I consider this is a great bipolar car"- I can take it down some twisty back roads and have some fun, or I can cart the grandparents on a 7 hour trip in comfort. The connectivity is excellent in terms of Bluetooth and the iPod interface. I would highly recommend this car to my friends and family.

  • Not quite what I expected - 2013 Honda Accord

After 9,000 miles and 11 months of ownership, here are my comments. DO NOT get the remote starter. It is a royal PIA on the EX model with push button start. When you remote start the vehicle and get in it, the engine automatically stalls and you have to restart the engine. For every remote start you have to restart the engine. Gee Honda, great for your starter and battery. Real poor design. I would remove the remote start system but it would cost ME money to do it! Also, you cannot exit a running vehicle and try to lock it to run an errand, it wont let you! The stereo if horrible. The AM is twice as loud as the FM. Very poor quality stereo.

  • Fast and Cheap - 2013 Honda Accord

After 8 months of ownership, the title sums it all up. I cannot think of another sedan in this segment, and at this price, that can eclipse the performance of the Accord Sport with the 6-speed manual. Good acceleration, surprisingly high cornering limits and arguably the best shifter this side of BMW. The trade off is a set of truly awful Goodyear Eagle LS 2 tires (loud, no grip in wet, overly stiff), a spartan but functional interior with terrible seat fabric and the cheapest door plastic in the industry. Also did I mention the squeaks and rattles after only 5k miles.

  • Great vehicle, poor seat comfort - 2013 Honda Accord

We bought the Honda accord knowing that its reliability and quality build would not let us down. We commute 180 miles daily, to and from, all highway miles. In the first year we put 50K on the vehicle with zero issues. The vehicle gets great gas mileage as advertised. The down fall....Not only are the seats hard, they have a c type curve design with no lumbar adjustment. For shorter individuals as my wife, the head rest would constantly keep her head leaned forward. She eventually began suffer from back and neck pain. At this point we decided get rid of the vehicle. Other than that, a great vehicle.

  • Battery issues in cold weather...Upstate NY - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

My girlfriend lives in Upstate NY, hadnt driven her car for three days, and decided to go shopping. Returning home after a roundtrip of about five miles, she turned off the vehicle for about five minutes and it would not restart. AAA was called and provided a jumpstart, but said their tester indicated the battery would not hold the charge. She them drove the car to the dealer for their assessment. Their answer was that these Accords need to be driven every couple days at least and if not, the owner should buy a trickle charger. A trickle charger? If the car is not driven every couple days? Its a 2013 car, not a 1913. Honda needs to address this issue.

  • Buyers remorse for me too - 2013 Honda Accord

I traded in a 2008 Accord sedan for this 2013 Accord Coupe, EX with leather and nav. I wish I hadnt done that. Why? The primary reason is the Coupes ride quality. My 2008 Accord was smooth as silk. The new car is best described as uncomfortably harsh. You feel every bump. I could see this being an exhausting ride, especially for a long drive. Maybe new tires will help? I probably wont know for 3 years or so, when its time to get new tires. Assuming I can deal with riding in a car with no suspension for 3 years. I suggest anyone considering a new Accord take the car for a lengthy test drive over a variety of street surfaces.

  • Steering Column makes noise when turning slow - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Have a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L, purchased new June 2013, after a few months it started making a noticeable but soft popping/clicking noise coming from the steering column when turning the steering wheel. Took it to the dealer twice, they replaced the parts covering the airbag inside the steering column (steering angle sensor & combination bracket), and then finally admitted that there is no known fix to this noise. The Honda service rep even pointed out that a few people working for Honda have experienced the same noise from their 2013 Accords. Im very disappointed and even embarrassed that Im stuck with a new car that makes a funny noise.

  • Hondalink is CRAP!!! - 2013 Honda Accord

This system does not work 50% of the time. It does not understand voice commands 70% of the time. It does not retain speed dial numbers. It does not accept Gracenote updates for the HDD. It takes 10 minutes after starting to allow you to access controls for audio using the knobs but prompts use of voice commands which do not WORK!!!
