Fast and Fun! - 1993 Honda Accord
By cobra989 - June 2 - 9:53 amI purchased this vehicle about a year ago, and have driven the car almost 15000 miles. I really like this car, she is really fast! This is my favorite year out of the early 90s accords because of the extra power etc... Some of the mods that I have done are full intake and exhaust, indiglo guages, supercharger. The thing that I was scared about the most when I did the exhaust kit was that it would sound like a Civic, but that I4 2.2L sounds great and its definitely a head turner! The only thing that I would do to change the car a little bit is to make the engine more accessible and repairs less expensive, other than that I love this car, its gonna be hard to let go.

Outstanding car - 1993 Honda Accord
By nk - May 22 - 5:18 pmI have had this for the past 13 years, and it had been the most reliable piece of equipment I ever owned. For a 4-cyl, it provides unbelievable acceleration and all the power options have been working well to date.

BEST USED CAR TO BUY - 1993 Honda Accord
By John - April 11 - 9:52 pmI cant believe how good these cars are. I bought a used one with 190,000 miles on it. Everyone thought I was crazy to pay $3500 for it but let me tell you. Now I have 250K on the car and IT STILL RUNS LIKE NEW. I will never sell this car, Cheap on gas, but you do have to fix few common problems every now and then. CV axes, radiator, speed sensor, and oxygen sensor. THATs it. And only every 60K or so... not bad. So dont just keep reading this, go and buy one. You will love it.

Big Disappointment - 1993 Honda Accord
By Paul - March 8 - 11:58 amReasonably comfortable. Fairly quiet. Not much fun to drive. Very expensive to own. It gets 19/24 mpg. This for a 2.2 4-cylinder is ridiculous. Parts for this car are surprisingly costly. For instance, most car manufacturers will use two formed-rubber hoses (~$20) for the cooling system. Honda uses somewhere around 10, making the hoses alone ~$80. Another example: Honda designed the front brakes such that you must re-build the entire front-end to replace the rotors (a very high wear item). Other manufacturers keep the rotors on this two small screws. This makes a ~$200 repair closer to $800. Big disappointment overall. As the cost of ownership is equal, Im selling this and buying a BMW.

Review - 1993 Honda Accord
By Margaret Graham - August 15 - 10:51 pmI bought this vehicle brand new and I havent had any major problems. It drive about 85-90% as good as it did when I purchased it. I also give credit to an excellent mechanic who has been very conscientious about the care of my Honda.

Car shuts off randomly while driving.... - 1993 Honda Accord
By K - June 19 - 10:19 pmI got this Honda from a Honda dealer and friend who sold it to me with no problems, it passed inspection and everything else with flying colors. I should also mention the engine had only 113,000 miles on it when I got it, this is considered "just breaking it in" for a Honda. I had the belts replaced, regular oil changes and tune-ups, this car was looked after, but keep reading...it all started when the car began to have a hard time maintaining a charge after it was started up, so we got it a new Battery, fine for a while...then, it shut off on the highway twice, Im glad I walked away from both. In addition to the stalling, it had problems in the winter too, but it gets worse....
