  • Never Again! - 1999 BMW 3-Series

After owning this car for over 5 years I can honestly say it is the most unreliable & expensive to repair vehicle Ive ever had. Everything that could go wrong has and at a huge cost to repair. Anyone thinking of buying one of these cars should think again! Ive endured complete brake replacements every 15K miles, had to replace almost the entire front suspension (worn ball joints can not be replaced by themselves), the mass air flow sensor, all 6 ignition coils, cam shaft sensor and a whole host of other "should be reliable" electronic components have failed. If someone gives you one of these cars - sell it!

I have to say I am thourghly dissapointed!! I have had two BMs and will never get another BMW Canada and their Dealers are most unhelpfull and inconsiderate, I have had to replace so far over $3,000 and BMW says I do not care sir even if you are only 3,500 miles out of your warranty, and then they say sorry you are not even the original owner so we will do nothing for you!!

After my 3Yr warranty expired, the reliablity problems are gaining momentum. Got a $CDN 5000 repair bill to replace/fix belts, valves, shock mounts, brakes, trailing arm bushing and the list goes on. Aufwiedersehen BMW, I am buying the 04 Acura TL3.2

Door window rattles other door window stuck and had to be repaired, breaks wine, wear out at 20k, and leave black dust on wheels. Hesitation in hot weather almost got me killed several times. Driver seat cover replaced under warranty at 20k. Im getting the full Euro-car experience :-), Ill get a Japanise one next time.
