  • 1994 325i convertible is awesome! - 1994 BMW 3-Series

Bought this liittle black gem for $2900.00. Drove it back to San Antonio from Austin and off the bat just loved the way it felt. I must admit, it is smaller than what Id had which was the large 740il however my goal was to save on gas. Its a four seater but in reality your not really going to fit anyone but those between 8 and 10 years old comfortably and that is if the two in whe front are 59" max. The ride is nice and tight the manual five speed wants me to race through those gears and let me tell you that Ive had on a few occassions where Ive had to step on the pedal. It is fast for a six cyl !! Im liking the 3 series due to the available parts and DIY.

  • Fun to Drive when it works. - 1994 BMW 3-Series

I bought the car and for 7,000 and have put about that much if not more into it in the 3 years I have owned it. I dont drive it hard but I have had to basically rebuild the engine. That was fun. The interior has completely fallen apart door panels wont stay on no matter what I do. Its super fun to drive and looks good on the outside but everything inside kinda blows.

  • My first BMW - 1994 BMW 3-Series

When I first got this car, I hated it because it was a manual and I had a hard time learning. However, once I learned it I loved it, and I became a car enthusiast. I also now love bmw, although it has given me some problems.

  • Most reliable car Ive ever owned - 1994 BMW 3-Series
    By -

I have owned the car since 1998 and it has never left me stranded, gets 36 mpg and handles as good as cars that cost 5 times as much! To sum it up, the car is worth much more than you end up paying for one.

  • Great (but not PERFECT) little car! - 1994 BMW 3-Series
    By -

I have had this little beauty for about a month now. I am so impressed! I have owned American and Japanese but decided on this partly based on reviews like these on this site. The car feels solid and I have not felt the cornering qualities like this since I sold my Miata. Remember, this is a 4 door sedan! The acceleration with this 5 speed manual is awesome! At about 4700 RPM the engine comes on like a turbo (thanks to VANOS). The shifter "clicks" into place, and the exhaust growl is intoxicating! The build quality is way more than I am used to. Everything is so tight even with close to 150K on the clock. Expensive? I work on my own. I can do anything with the online help sites!

  • 10 years old and still a cool car! - 1994 BMW 3-Series
    By -

I dreamed about this car for years. One day, I decide to buy a used one (in fact, my purse decide)! And... I still love this car. Mine has 10 years old and 190,000 km but drive better than a lot of new ones, believe me ) Just the A/C disappointed me (Its very fragile and cost a lot to repair) and the body near the wings... watch the rust! In general, the gas mileage is very good: Around 10L/100km.

  • 318i Solid transportation - 1994 BMW 3-Series

I purchased my 1994 BMW 318i used with 135,000 miles on it. It is a solid car with the basic amenities and teutonic interior styling. The quality of the car is excellent and it is still tight as new. The gas mileage is great and it is virtually maintenance free. Only Problem Ive had is the idle valve was faulty, but was easily replaced by the dealer for $400.00. The engine has no leaks and engine runs smooth and the car handles great. I have learned over the years parts are not as pricey as you would think compared to regular cars. Insurance is reasonable as well. I totally recommend a 3 series to anyone looking for a pre- owned Bimmer that is budget priced.

  • Weak and sensually wanting - 1994 BMW 3-Series

With an automatic, stock tires and rims this Bimmer is the ultimate pig. My Honda Accord wagon is more fun. At 90,000 miles it creaks and groans like a reluctant old door. My girlfriend does look good in it though! Not up to my expectations of a BMW,

If you love to drive and truly appreciate what that means, you cant find a better sedan for the money. The E36 chassis with a five-speed is superior to many of the sport sedans that are sold new in the US today. The car will do an honest 150, 60 in second gear, and gets 26 mpg in all around driving. I live in Wisconsin, and with snow tires it handles better than a front wheel drive car with average tires. Note, a stock 325i will not perform on par with the above, my car has a Dinan chip and B&B exhaust that increase the horsepower/torque to 210/210 (a rather conservative estimate), raise the rev limit safely to 7000 rpm and eliminate the top speed governor (normally 128 mph).
