Overview & Reviews
Other than an improved database for the navigation system and a seatbelt reminder system, there are no significant changes for the '04 Odyssey.
- Excellent crash test scores, huge interior, fold-flat third-row seat, powerful V6, optional navigation and entertainment system.

Overrated - 2004 Honda Odyssey
By mtheadjr - December 9 - 2:00 amI have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. It has a transmission problem which the mechanic ackowledges but says cannot be fixed as the part has a faulty design. It knocks, or slips, at midspeeds. I also find the car to be very road noisy. The AC does not blow very cold and the gas mileage stinks. Wish I had never bought it - would not recommend it to anyone. PS _ this is my second one - the first was returned to the dealer after 2 days when it too had a transmission problem which required it to be towed. Should have taken the hint then and run.

Performance Guy turned into a Grizwald - 2004 Honda Odyssey
By chask - December 9 - 2:00 amWe chose Honda based on three main variables: 1Roominess 2Reliabil.3Value I felt Honda gave us plenty of room(if not too much)The fold down seat allows for alot of storage. The reliab. of Honda products in our house has always been great. The Value was a big key to our purchase. We did not see the incentives given by the other manufac. to be real.A $32000 Dodge with incent. of $3500 still lacked many of the feat./perfor.we got in Honda. We found pricing the packages to be confusing and misleading. We like the fact that you had basically 3 packages to choose from and that was it.

2 Years in -- Very Happy - 2004 Honda Odyssey
By Mad Hungarian - November 30 - 9:57 pmWe bought the Odyssey used with only 13k miles. Now it has about 38k miles and it has been highly reliable and very comfortable. Very good gas mileage for a V6 van. (Glad we did not buy an SUV.) The Odyssey has more room and easily handles whatever winter weather we get in PA. Rear storage is a "well" that the third seat folds into. The V6 is powerful and transmission smooth. The traction control worked perfectly when needed on an icy hill.

Sooooo Cool - 2004 Honda Odyssey
By Family Man - November 29 - 10:00 amWent to the Honda Dealership to test drive a Pilot and although a very nice vehicle, my wife and I saw the Odyssey and we immediately fell in love with it. The interior and the overall look of this van is awesome. A much more practical and roomy vehicle than the Pilot. My wife particularly likes the DVD and the leather interior. Handles like a car. Have owned Fords all of my life but when my 2000 Windstar started giving me problems with 37000 miles on it we decided to go with a Honda because of its reputation for reliability and resale value. Will not own another Ford! Considered the Sienna but it was $5000 more. Excellent vehicle. Great Value!

Everything I wanted and more - 2004 Honda Odyssey
By Veloslave - September 15 - 2:00 amThe Ford has a couple more bells and whistles like the rear sensors and handling control but the Odyssey has better power, less noise and lets face it... what would you trust more on a cross country trip for reliability? The Navigation was a must for me since I am a Realtor. I own a 2002 Windstar and like it too but it, like its predecessors has had plenty of trips to the shop for little things... heck, it didnt even make it off the lot the first day without issues. I still like the Windstar but think the Honda is the best choice.
